Let the education system change. Country is drifting from being as highly patriotic country label.I think youth born after 1980 has lost the steam as they are overloaded with the present education system with average 46 to 50 % pass marks to between 80 to 90% in the present age. The competition is such that present kids do not have time for parents and family leave alone thinking about nation. We can\'t blame them either. We must have few chapters on military heros who should be taken as role models for coming generation. Dedicate whole book even introduce military History as subject from 4th standared. Let schools have photos of Military Hero\'s in each class and brain wash kids to join the supreme Armed Force\'s, make military service compulsory for youth for 3 years to build strong disciplined and powerful nation. My salute not only to this gallant Soldier but to his Parents also who have trained & put sense of pride. Gone are the days of my childhood when we all kids use to go around the mohalla with Tri colour shouting Hindustan zindabad. Our policy makers have to really think to see how best they can attract the best talent of country in Defence Forces. man like harshan who gave all the other thing for the love of their country . these type of people are called hero beacuse they do those thing which we don't do for our nation
I was 1 yr junior to Harshan in NDA. He was a silent performer who even won medals in the Coveted Cross Country Championship in NDA. i was also in Valley and had met him 1 month prior to his death. we were meeting after 4yrs n i was elated to see him. but i dint kno that destiny had something else in store for him. im so glad that rediff has remembered a great hero of the Country.
