Pakistan cant even fight against AlQaeda
by Sincere Citizen on Jan 23, 2008 04:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Pakistani armies reputation in fighting is very dismal. they have lost forts to Al Qaeda, lost wars against India. And now even small tribals are defeating them.
SL is doomed if they take help from such losers.

You will be surprised at the qualitative change in SL Army since the Pakistanis got involved ..

Pakistani Commandoes and Air Force are really high quality .. They have some good arms as well ..

Fighting LTTE in their strong holds is not easy, Indian army is doing the right thing by not helping Srilanka directly.
Srilanka might prove a Vietnam for Pakistan.
In war if wepons and high class equipments are needed then why NATO forces are failing in Afganistan. See usa in IRAQ, What hapen in somalia...
You need is proper tactical planning and local support to fight not just arms and high class equipments.
Any where is LTTE getting Arms from? money they get thru ISI drug trade as Jaffna is one of the prominant destination for Drugs traficking....
With conditions in pakistan so verse i dont know how pakistan is going to help Srilanka...

Pakistan is doing the right things
by Rahul on Jan 23, 2008 04:25 PM  Permalink

I think if we look at thi sissue from Pakistani perspective they are doing the right thing. They are seeing an oppurtunity wherein they can ehance their sphere of influence in the Indian subcontinent and encirlce India. They have good influence over Bangladesh and have many ISI operatives in Nepal. Myanmar is taken care off by China so if they and China can influence Sri Lanka it is good for them. Also they will be so close to monitor Indian Navy at the tip of India. And if anyone is to blame for this situation it is India and it's failed and confused policies. Sri Lanka did look upto India and was looking towards India for help and if India doesnot respond we cannot blame them. India and specially the UPA supported by DMK is all confused and the sufferer is India.

India is right
by Preeti rai on Jan 23, 2008 04:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India is right not to get involved in petty issues outside India. Just look at the past. We loast Rajiv Gandhi just because he created a needless enemy in Sri-Lanka. Look at america, they got themselves invloved in every country's internal affairs and are now facing backlash like 9/11 and Iraq.
Best strategy is to stay away from petty issues and concentrate on development.

India is involved at all levels.. It is now like a Chess game .. China is pouring in Billions in Ports Development in SL .. Pakistan has good Military roots .. India has obvious influence and power in most spheres ..

If they decide to act against each other .. it will get interesting .. for now all countries are putting their pieces in place ..

USA is already installing high level radars as well .. Expect some action/upheavals like the Rajiv Gandhi fiasco ..
