RE:Srilanka not INDIA's friend

Let us analysis this news with stragic point of view
Already Pak, China and Srilanka are not our friends..
Why not create a new friend TAMIL EELAM..there..
If India not creat TAmil Eelam...Someday USA may support Tamil Eelam and have US Bases near JAFFNA and Tricomalee...that day India have enemies all round..
Let us analysis this news with stragic point of view. It is known that in case of any hostility with PAK or CHINA we have only our northern parts under threat till now. While South India had function Normally and support the rest of nation with supplies and our sea routes were free for our merchant navy to run without any difficulties. Now this scenario is changing with CHINA building a navy base in Burma and PAK as well as asking SL to provide logistic support to its Forces. China is also negotiating with SL for a navy base. If this happens then china and Pakistan will be able to strike at India%u2019s Southern States and our armed forces will have to be divided to protect both side of Vindhanchal. Also our sea routes will come under strike from both of these countries as well as their supporters in South Asia.

Lets see what will happen in case of war with Pakistan while china is overtly supporting Pak. We will have to put our most of the force on Western front, while our navy will be operating in Arabian Sea at that time Pak Subs may strike at VIZAG operating directly from China base in Burma having extended endurance under water (and getting logistic supports from Burma and SL bases) and PAF will strike at Kolkota from Bangladesh and southern cities like Chennai, Bangalore, TVM from bases in SL. Then our army has to diverted from western front to protect southern state from Pak invasion. We will loos all our sea routes. We will not be able to function freely in Indian Ocean as well Bay of Bengal (Arabian Sea was out of question already).

I think all these options are open with GOI but the need is to use them logically and keep engaging the SL govt. so that we don%u2019t loose it to PAK and China.

One can imagine that now India is surrounded from all sides by hostile countries (some ruled by Military Juntas), who have close ties with PAK and China. In this scenario all of them will support China (Nepal may also support it due to presence of Maoist there). We will have all our supply routes cut. And the result is defeat in a direct war with Pakistan. Till date the rich politicians of our poor nation think that they can win a war with Pakistan by shear strength of our army in nos. But what they forget is the south India. Its very critical to have south India running and supporting the north India. There are numbers of reasons why we are loosing our southern neighbor to our western and Northern neighbors, South provide support to LTTE (specially TN politicians) so SL thinks we are no use for their multi-ethnic war. Off course we can not ignore the demands of SL Tamils. But providing logistic support to LTTE is altogether different story. And we are also denying some support to SL national army, due to complexity of Indian politics. In this case SL has no option left but to look for support from other countries, mainly PAK, CHINA.

Our south politicians should now start thinking that in case of war they will not be left unharmed and will also come under hostile fire. So we need to change our attitude toward our very critical southern neighbor (SL) and we can start by not protesting the visit of SL diplomats to India. We can provide the high level logistic support to SL, while making it clear that we are not a direct party of their war. We should stop our support of LTTE, but should rise the Tamil cause at international level as done by Pak in case of Kashmir. We should facilate arm supply to SL from other countries say Russia but at the same time not providing any Indian made fire arm to SL. We should share the intelligent with SL, but at the same time lobbying in International forum to facilate a peaceful solution to this conflict.
I can understand from comments that Indians are fighting with each other...if u continue to fight like this....one day India will be parted further to 5,6 countries...realize it. It is historically proven that Aryans came through middle Asia....irrespective of origin, now it is one India...so be as Indian not as North INdian....there r also divisions..u bihari dnt come to Maharashtra...UP wala dnt come to Delhi.....cheer up and devide India

North and South divide is only in Tamil Nadu. Its not anywhere else in South India. The main reason is their reluctance to share an integrated culture. They just jump up and down when 'Tamil' word comes up. They give less importance to spirit of being an Indian. In the north, we dont leap around calling ourselves a MP wala, a Haryana wala, a marathi etc. Only for a person from TN claims (false) pride in saying "I am a Tamil first". Spirit of National Integration lies in respecting other cultures and try to mingle with them. And above all, take pride in saying... we are all Indians first.
