There is are lot of other important projects (for example the Vizhinjam for a port, which has got the natural depth that could attract a huge vessels to south coast) that would cost just a fraction of the money that these people are planning to wash it out... one need to suspect the real intentions of Balu and his mentor. Playing with the emotions of millions of people (pro and opposing the project)... What are they going to gain.. It's another hogwash like the nuclear treaty, where the resultant benefits cant justify the cost... There are many good projects that are waiting for approvals, which can give solid boost to the nation

Why don't you guys question that Mohammed went on a horse to heaven Why don't you question the killings sanctioned for so called kafirs in quran Why don't you question the belief that mohammed is last prohet? Why don't you question that did god really speak to mohammed? Why don't you question the validity of going around kaaba which was originally a shrine of kafirs Why don't you question the logic that what is valid for saudi should be valid for all muslims in the world What discrepancies you are talking about. First try to understand your own religion. Do not blindly read them without understanding. Those who live in glass housed should not throw stones at others

Which religion supports acceptance only on reasoning? The best I have seen is Hinduism, because there is no one to issue fatwa if someone questions a belief.

As if muslim mentality questions all their illogical beliefs. Muslims are completely brain washed by their religious clerics and if any dares to question they threatened with death fatwa. eg. Salman Rushdie and Taslima Nazreen living in fear for thier lives. Mani
Go and ask the familes how many Indian fisherman killed by Lankan navy!!
If Sethu project compleated it will good for indian people. So many innocent indian fisherman and killed by lankan navy near admas bridge!!and many boats looted by local lankans. If sethu project compleated we don't have to go accross lanka. it will be shortcut to bengal and many people will be benifited and save 2 days sailing time.

Don't repeat what Karunanidhi says. Have your own common sense. 450 kms difference can save few hours if dredging is done throughout the years. To save this time, ships will have to shell out lacs of rupees.

Yes, you are right, no more fishermen will be killed by Lankan navy, becoz they won't be allowed by Indian navy to go out into the sea. :)

Except politicians in Tamilnadu and their relative contractors, no body is going to benefit from it. Rather it will prove to be a disaster for the local fishermen. The money to be invested in Setu Projects can be used to lay six/ four lane roads connecting all cities of Tamilnadu and Kerala.

yes you are correct by the what is the size of Fish industry in Tamilnadu i am sure it will not be Rs 25,000 crore required for this project. if for this reason they want this project then they need a NURSERY GOING child to correct them.

Jesus Christ of the Bible is often portrayed by today%u2019s Christian as a meek, humble bundle of love, however%u2026 there is a side to Jesus Christ in the Bible, which few talk about. Let%u2019s turn our attention to the following passage in the Bible-----> 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

First let the leaders find the truth 'bout their own self & their origin. It will help India sociologically forever...
This project is only to make money. If they are very concerned about fuel spend on traveling extra miles by ship why the same people do not think about the pathetic state of our roads and infrastructure.
WE HAVE TO THINK WHAT GOOD THIS PROJECT WILL DO: RAED 1) IT WILL BENEFIT SRI LANKA MORE THAN US EVEN THEN SRILANKAN TOURISM BOARD RELEASED A CD AND SAID ITS RAMS HERITAGE.
2)WHO IS GETTING BENEFITED BY THE RS 25,000 CRORE PROJECT WHO WILL BE THE COMPANY GETTING THE CONTRACT.
3) THINK OF IT AS A DESTRUCTION OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES THE CORAL REEFS AND THE NATURAL STRUCTURE (EVEN NASA HAS LIKED THAT) FOR THOSE WHO DONT BELEIEV IT TO BE RAMS STRUCTURE.
4)THE SENTIMENTS ATTACHED TO THIS DEAL.IF IF SOME PEOPLE SAY ITS A NATURAL STRUCTURE THAN MAN MADE.
THINK OVER IT. WHETHER WE NEED FOREIGN SHIPS TO TRAVEL THRU THIS CORRIDOE OR WANT TO PROTECT THE (RAMS) (NATURAL REEFS OF OUR NATIONS.

How is the project going to ensure the safety of Indian fisherman? Pl don''t make statements like karunanidhi.
A govt official "X" was transferred. While handing over charge to his successor "Y", he informed him that there was a matter which Y should take care of - i.e., X had taken money from the treasury for digging a well in the office compound and had used the money for personal purposes, no well was ever dug.
Y smiled and told X to forget this and not to have any tension.
A few months later, X was visiting the same town and called on Y. After exchanging inane pleasantries, he asked Y whether he had sorted out the well matter. Y said he had solved the problem very amicably.
X became curious and asked for details, to which Y replied, "nothing yaar, I told the higher ups that the well is a nuisance in the compound and it needed to be closed. They gave sanction and I have taken money from Govt to close the (non existent) well. Thanks for giving me a method of taking money for personal use from the Govt.!"
Well, huge sums are spent on projects and we hardly see assets proportionate to amounts spent. Who can ever verify the "assets" created "under water"?

ss...yes...your message is timely and urgent...I really hope everyone listens to you and acts quickly. In the meantime, can you also quickly communicate with your fellow aliens in outerspace and ask them to move to the moon-bases to ready for the attack? Don't forget to also post notices inside the septic tanks.
