naxals are criminals.making money from govt officers,civil contractors . They are well organised and rulling parallal govt with the help of killing innocents from the order gets from head office somewhere in westbengal.

In what way are the missionaries using them? Please elaborate. A speculation - Probably to gain access to the tribals for preaching? If you were operating in such an area wouldn't you be paying the hafta too?

Please go through the press reports of the recent incidents of Hindu Christian clashes in Orissa. It has been reported that some missionaries and NGOs have been diverting funds for charity to Naxals.

Not surprising at all. Some missionaries will go to any extent to achieve their numbers. They are funded by foreign countries and certainly not discouraged by our government due to fear of reprisal. This is just a beginning. We will see more in future.

and yeah, if you're wondering why I speak out to such extent opposing your views on naxalism - it's because, I've been living in Bastar district for more than 18 years and I know what it is like. I know the tribals, ther customs, the police, the armed forces and all their activity. I'm also aware of the media projections of the area - which are often skewed.

Mr. Mukherjee, what do you have to say about the Political parties that use Naxals to achieve their ends? Since there is no "commission", among the endless number of them in India, called the "political integrity comittee" this will never come to light. Wome on, learn to make some sense, missionaries operate across the length and breadth of the country and they do their works. Why on earth would they need to support the naxals? In fact, the naxals would be happy if they can stop the missionaries from getting into their strongholds. And now with people of your opinion, the next thing buzzing around would be that missionaries also suport the Jehadis in Kashmir and elsewhere. Till now, this "secret" has not been discovered by you or your fellow intellectuals..... I will wait for the day when you discover that too. But I wouldn't be surprised if I hear that. Finally, you must first understand what naxalism is, why it exists and what it aims to do. Then, contrast it with that of the missionaries. But yeah, you won't be able to do that if you think that the British, Sonia Gandhi and the missionaries are the source of all evils in India. I'm no great supporter of any of the above mentioned parties but I choose to use my common sense and then speak out. In short, I'm averse to making a fool of myself - the way you seem to be inclined to do in all of your posts on this rediff forum.

We continue to boast for deep root of democracy in our country.If it is so why such kind of people movements continue unabated in many part of our country? The reasons are as under; (1)Democracy is not deep rooted:Someone said that democracy meant no king hence nopolitics.It may be a over reaction on a situation but fact lies that no botheration about public is demonstrated in indian politics. Rules are made and promulugated to uprouted simple peace loving people on the name of national park or tiger reserve.Rules are made to make working and earnig people unemployed and thief by overnight snatching their livelihood.Whatever post destruction actions are planned are converted in to booty for goernment officials and socalled leaders and nothing reaches to affacted polpulation. (2)Lust of power;Member of parliament and lagilative assembly,Officer of indian administrative serrvices,offiocers and other associates of proffessional services do not know their duty and responsibility they know only their rights of earning and facilities and almost helpless in every matter.Their lust of power to rule and to collect money has downgraded them to the standard of pigs who feel happy in shit. (3)No fresh ideas no new initiative: We are poorly lacking in fresh ideas and new bold initiatives.We are simply followiny western ideas and formulas.Otherwise someone should inform me why people are still travling in socalled second class compartment like bricks filled in a truck irrespective of
The Police under this DGP is really behaving like Sitting Ducks for Naxals.The DGP is getting Salary from Delhi.He doesnt have guts and heart to fight and isolate the NAXALS. He knows that Naxals in Central India have Support of Govt in Jharkhand,AP and WB and tacit support of Centre. That is why he wants to liquidate whatever resistance is there from Self Defence groups like Salwa Judum.
