India has China as the only threat in Asia. Both nations will be placed in opposite sides of polarized world and both are developing at a fast rate. Pakistan has served it's purpose of emboldening Indian unity by remaining a enemy country. But India now is leaping ahead and China is the main threat around. Pakistan project's reason for existence so far is that India needed time to gather it's constituents together and dissipate separatist forces in Indian soil and we have achieved some progress in that regard, though not sufficient. But China can play the role of threat because it is more believable a threat to India than Pakistan is. So there is no need for a Pakistan. It needs to be dismantled by encouraging the separatist forces in Sindh, Balochistan, NWFP. It's time to dismantle the Pakistan Project.
I think this is another biased article, which mixes fact and fiction to create a heady concoction. One tends to frown upon quotes from unknown "ardent Narendra Modi follower" who is fictitious characters solely created so that the writer can put words in his mouth. Modi as a hardliner must reinforce that image with a rhetoric that highlights this. But to suggest that he implied that if he was the PM (not MMS or LK Advani) he would have done a better job to say the least is ludicrous. Had the writer reined in his bias against Modi or maybe the BJP and used his brains more effectively he would have realized that the minor churnings that are seen within the BJP is the conflict between the Hardliners and the moderates. Modi is the trump card of the Hardliners since he is a hardliner and could win on that hard-line platform. Advani is the moderate (as with all such classifications it is relative and in this instance relative to Modi). Somewhere between the Gujarat victory and the next General Elections the BJP will need to take a call whether it should project itself as hard-line or as a moderate party! With the UPA shifting to placate the minorities the BJP may have no choice but to opt for hard-line Hinduvata and hope that they retain it allies. The attempt to simplify the whole issue on the Prime Ministerial aspirations of Modi doesn%u2019t even warrant notice.

please lets not degrade prostitutes by comparing them to journalists/lawyers. whatever said and done, they r still trying to make a living and hoping for a good life. journalists/lawyers are the scum of the earth leading the pack in india is of course prannoy roy, barkha dutt and rajdeep sardesai
My dear REDIFF and all the Media never try to go into roots when it comes to Modi-bashing.
Here,MORE important thing is SINDH than Modi, Advani or any XYZ. Sindh region is delta of river Sindhu.
0Calling the Sindh unrest the final opportunity to stoke Sindhi separatism0
A 50-60 year ago Sindhu river is flowing across todays deserted land kutch. But after partition Pakistan tactfully change the flow of sindhu river. Hence once effluent Lakhpat (Which literally means Village of Lakhs) was major affected by this and made draught prone region. NOBODY IN 50 YEAR TALKING ABOUT THIS WATER ISSUE. Now, as Bhutto was basically Sindhi and India can right now surely trade off in this liquid condition for SEPARALIST ACTIVITY. Let it be new SINDH like BANGLADESH and then we can get step forward to get Sindhu river back to Kutch India.
So if Sindhu flow from Gujarat. More prosperity. More power to India.
So read the article again and you find some pearls of AGGRESSIVE INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMACY

Just wonder who is this allah guy? let me guess.... some pujari in temple!!??wild guess though!.
Modi gonna stay in Gujarat, its the best place for him cos he wont be accepable to ppl out side Gujarat, ditto like a Mayabati or a Chandrababu Naidu. He aint any Vajpayee even Advani.NDA partner wont accept him with his currnet stance.May be future if he become moderate ,beyond that i dont see any possiblity.Hardline Hindutva cant win votes everywhere. If that was the case BJP wd hav 2/3 mojority in UP where we hav Ayodhaya or Maharastra where we hav RSS HQ at Nagpur.

Santosh..you are looking Modi as only a hindutva fundamentalist but you are forgetting the development and the security part he has bought in gujarat? Did you know the Rajiv Gandhi foundation had presented Gujarat as the best state?
You need to come out of you narrow thinking and pave the path for better and stronger india
