Advani
by Raj Tak on Jan 19, 2008 01:34 PM  Permalink

The person, who has gone through the trauma of division of his own nation and had to run for shelter in his own nation, will always have such fear in his concious and that fear will always inspire his leadership to make his country stronger, stronger and stronger than ever!
If you are with time, then ties are essentially required with the notions.
Advani advocates that!

Govt should consider Advani's opinion
by SP on Jan 19, 2008 11:16 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am not at all a BJP supporter and I always supported Congress. But after watching the performance of the present Central Govt headed by UPA, I am highly disappointed by their performance - regionalism, casticm, partiality, terrorism - all these are at a high level today. Each Minister behaves himself as the Minister of a particular State and get everything for their own States. Many ministers cant see the India as one. All these shows the lack of political maturity of our PM, who is good economist, good teacher and able administrator. Today, in India the only leader who is suitable for the PM Post is Advani. It was a wise decision of the BJP to project him as their PM candidate. This decision has helped BJP a lot in winning Gujrat and HP election. In coming elections also, this will help BJP and in the coming general elections also, there is a good chance for BJP to win. India should have a PM who is having enough political and administrative experience, contacts with all people including the grass root level people, - Unfortunately, today, there is nobody in Congress who is having such qualities.

World Peace?
by pp rr on Jan 19, 2008 11:03 AM  Permalink

" Asia has been a victim of colonialism and not a cause of it. "

IN response to your above statment and article, Mr.advaniji,I would say, we are victims of not outside forces but from inside.asia, especially india has seen more civil wars than invasions.even today our freedom and right to live in a democratic society is crushed by religious extremism.today majority of asians are running to the west for peaceful living, freedom, better economic conditions, human rights etc.while your observation of asians being "victims" is correct its only superficial.the so called democracy and cradle of civilisation is merely a lip service and only sounds theorotically good, in practical living its all a mess due to "religious goons and corruption"

friendly relations with china for peace .
by cnrgpal on Jan 19, 2008 10:47 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why? India is afraid of China? Why this sudden change of mind? To keep normal ties with China, we have to solve the border probl;ems first. So many places from India would have to be given to China. Di u agree with this. If so give the complete north west India to them where Mao/Bodo movrements are becoming dangerous. If iot goes to China, unlike India, theu will solve the problem over night.

Let us do something at our home before worrying or suggesting to rest of the world. We should focus on our development and bring the people of India together under one umbrella for a harmonious living.

This a different politics pitch --- HYPE POLITICS.

LORD MACAulay's address to the British Parliament(02FEB 1835) quote
"I have travelled the length and breadth of India and I ahve not seen one person as a beggar, whi is a thief, Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that I do not think that we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very bacbone of this nation, which her spiritual and cultural heritage and therefore I propose that we replace the old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own. they will lose their self esteem, their native culture and they will become WHAT WE WANT THEM, A TRULY DOMINATED NATION.

My dear Shaji, you have allowed yourself to be fed by the nonsense systematically spread by the colonial powers and subsequently by their agents like the Leftists and the self-styled reformers.
I do not want to get into a lengthy debate with you on this, but all that I can tell you is equating Ambedkar and Narayana Guru with an ignoramus like Ramasamy Naicker is attrocious.
Naryana Guru believed in reforms that the Hindu society certainly needed. But he stayed within the system to reform and did not dissociate himself from the fundamental tenets of Hinduism. Guru only tried to remove the weed and not the main crop.
EVR never had any regard for the country or her ethos or her people.
He was an ignorant and illiterate rabble rouserwho was tilting at the windmills like a modern Don Quixote without any concrete action plan for the downtrodden. For fear of being sidelined by collossal figures in the Congress party, he intelligently projected himself and a rallying point with a mind full of spite.
Not many would know he was on the payrolls of the British along with several luminaries of the Justice Party. He made his services available to the colonial masters for a hefty fee for lending support to the British divide and rule policy. Do you know he passed a resolution asking the British to retain at least the Madras presidency under their control?
You have been worshipping the wrong Gods all along, I suppose!
Through his ideals, he helped many politiical groups in Tamil Nadu

Double Standard!!
by Contractor on Jan 19, 2008 10:27 AM  Permalink

When India was invaded by China in 1962 some of the guys from Left even thought it was a welcoming proposition. When the present UPA government under Manmohan Singh wanted to sign Nuclear Deal with USA, the Left opposed it. Its not that they are against the contents of the deal- they are just opposed to signing it with USA. A similar deal with a communist country is quite welcome to them. So, if it is with China, it is OK, but if it is with USA, it is not OK

Such a narrow minded person should not be elected as a PM. We need someone who have a greater vision for the development of our counrty. Compare our country with small nations like Singapore and we are still under developed, even though we have all natural resources. Need to get rid of corruption and get rid of the late in implementation of policies.

Yes, Jaffer Ali! In singapore, there are no hues and cries by "Minorities" clamouring for reservation, separate laws, etc. Learn from them the good things of life and let your leaders shed some outmoded concepts.
