MUHUMMAD (PBUH) WAS AN ILLITERATE
The theory that Muhummad (pbuh) authored the Qur%u2019an or copied from other sources can be disproved by the single historical fact that he was illiterate.
Allah testifies Himself in the Qur%u2019an In Surah Al-Ankabut chapter no.29 verse 48
"And thou was not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: in that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubted." [Al-Qur%u2019an 29:48]
Allah (swt) knew that many would doubt the authenticity of the Qur%u2019an and would ascribe it to Prophet Muhummad (pbuh). Therefore Allah in His Divine Wisdom chose the last and final Messenger to be an %u2018Ummi%u2019, i.e. unlettered, so that the talkers of vanity would not then have the slightest justification to doubt the Prophet. The accusation of his enemies that he had copied the Qur%u2019an from other sources and rehashed it all in a beautiful language might have carried some weight, but even this flimsy pretence has been deprived to the unbeliever and the cynic.
Allah reconfirms in the Qur%u2019an in Surah Al A%u2019raf chapter 7 verse 157:
"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures) in the Law and the Gospel"
The prophecy of coming of the unlettered Prophet (pbuh) is also mentioned in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12.
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned." [Isaiah 29:12]

14. QUR%u2019AN IS A BOOK FROM ALLAH
These evidences are sufficient to conclude that the Qur%u2019an was not copied from the Bible, but that the Qur%u2019an is the Furqaan - %u2018the Criteria%u2019 to judge right from wrong and it should be used to decipher which portion of the Bible may be considered as the Word of God.
The Qur%u2019an itself testifies in Surah Sajda chapter 32 verse 1 to 3
Alif Laam Meem.
(This is) the revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt %u2013 from the Lord of the Worlds.
Or do they say, %u2018He has forged it%u2019? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance."

Yes people are adviced to live a life according to the Quran and Hadith. There are different things that are allowed and not allowed. For things that are not allowed are called haraam, for things that are allowed and not advisable are called makru and for things that are allowed are called halal. Obviously you have studies so much you must know these basic differences.

In the Shariah (Islamic law), it is Haram (unlawful) for men to shave the beard, this ruling is with the Ijma (consensus) of the scholars of all the Schools of Thought. Among the scholars who have attested to this consensus, include Allamah Mahmood Khattab 6, Allamah Anwar Shah Kashmiri Hanafi, Allamah Muhammad Ashraf Ali Thanwi, Allamah Hasfaki, Allamah Kamal Ibn Al-Humam Hanafi, Sheikh Ahmad Nafrawi Maliki, Allamah Abu Muhammad Ibn Hazm Zahiri, Allaamah Shaykh ul islaam Ibn Tayimyyah, and many other scholars

I gave you enough reasons as to why muslims grow beard. The one and main reason is they have to live their life as Prophet did....now some muslims are making it an excuse saying that it is not written in Quran....but in hadith it clearly says Propet said to live life as opposite to pagans and leave your beard and cut moustaches...what else do you what?? your own beloved prophet told you to leave beard...but u don't want to leave it and are cutting it and showing an excuse that it is not written in quran....

FOR YOUR INFORMATION : READ IT CAREFULLY" Answer:
One of the most common myths about the Qur%u2019an, is that Usman (r.a.), the third Caliph of Islam authenticated and compiled one Qur%u2019an, from a large set of mutually contradicting copies. The Qur%u2019an, revered as the Word of Allah (swt) by Muslims the world over, is the same Qur%u2019an as the one revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). It was authenticated and written under his personal supervision. We will examine the roots of the myth which says that Usman (r.a.) had the Qur%u2019an authenticated.
1. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) himself supervised and authenticated the written texts of the Qur%u2019an
Whenever the Prophet received a revelation, he would first memorize it himself and later declare the revelation and instruct his Companions (R.A. %u2013 Radhi Allahu Taala Anhu) %u2013 May Allah be pleased with him who would also memorize it. The Prophet would immediately ask the scribes to write down the revelation he had received, and he would reconfirm and recheck it himself. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was an Ummi who could not read and write. Therefore, after receiving each revelation, he would repeat it to his Companions. They would write down the revelation, and he would recheck by asking them to read what they had written. If there was any mistake, the Prophet would immediately point it out and have it corrected and rechecked. Similarly he would even recheck and authenticate the portions of the Qur%u2019an

It is also possible that these words might be his own words.....he could not read and write so if at all Quran was written by himself then there is something miracle about it as he could not read and write but he did but actually as you say he memorised it himself after revelation and declare the revelation to his companions to write it....so what is great in it???
