Remember 'cheeny-india bhai bhai'?
by RN Iyengar on Jan 16, 2008 09:45 AM  Permalink

The way the PM is praising the Chinese reminds me of Nehru praising Chou En Lai! Then Chou En Lai invaded India and captured territory which still hasn't been returned to India.

People who practice castism, don't have any compassion in thier society, live in miserable third world conditions and then shamelessly try to lecture the world about how to live and behave getlaughed at by the world rather than get respected.

Which country will care for a Prime Minister who is not elected by People
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Jan 16, 2008 05:08 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The world knows MM Singh is a political minnow.

Neither he has ability to carry the nation, even comes anywhere remotely close to his predecesor.

He is more like ceremonial head.

Why CHina would care for him.

A nation where the rural and urban divide has reduced to a thin line.
A nation where there is an equitable distribution and adequate access to energy and quality water.
A nation where agriculture, industry and service sector work together in symphony.
A nation where education with value system is not denied to any meritorious candidates because of societal or economic discrimination.
A nation which is the best destination for the most talented scholars, scientists, and investors.
A nation where the best of health care is available to all.
A nation where governance is responsive, transparent and corruption free.
A nation where poverty has been totally eradicated, illiteracy removed and crimes against women and children are absent and none in society feels alienated.
A nation that is prosperous, healthy, secure, peaceful and happy and continues with a sustainable growth path.
A nation that is one of the best places to live in and is proud of its leadership.

Evils of human society and their solutions
by JGN on Jan 15, 2008 01:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Human society was divided on lines of caste, creed, color and tribes, and consequently was plunged into the valley of conflicts and tribulations. Caste based on birth was propounded by vested interests, guided by the principle of selfish pleasure and geo-socio-economic sentiments with the sole motives to perpetuate economic exploitation over the ignorant mass. Same is the case with racial sentiments. The "purity" and vanity of racial superiority associated with religious dogmas is a glaring case of vested interest psychology.

It is irrational, illogical, conservative and dogmatic to divide humanity on the bases of external differences. This sort of psychology is the product of evil forces. How to get rid of this sort of mentality and establish a universal social order? If right thinking people and well-wishers of the society wanted to form a peaceful world order, the following factors should be integrated:

(1) universal social outlook based on Neo-Humanism

(2) availability and guarantee of minimum requirements of life

(3) common penal code based on cardinal principles of life

(4) a progressive and rational socio-economic theory

(5) social codes of conduct for justice, discipline and social solidarity

(6) logical and scientific views of life and world free from dogmas and superstitions

(7) a spiritual-moralist leadership free from geo or class sentiments

But you have to first banish your democracy: if the majority is ignorant, results democratically yielded are ignorant!

Lord Meghnad Desai on God
by JGN on Jan 15, 2008 01:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Of course I ask myself why superstition is so widespread and why 99.99% of people believe in some form of God. Because of uncertainty and death, people cannot cope with the absoluteness of non-existence. So they invented an after-life and gods because it is useful. I have no doubt that this is the only life I have and I'd better make the best out of it - Lord Meghnad Desai

(Lord Meghnad Desai may not be correct on the percentage of atheists. About 15% of world population are irreligious atheists at present)

Mr. Ismail, don't worry. These kafirs are against the jihadis going to the paradise. Once they realize what have been kept ready by the "most merciful allah" in the paradise, they also would not hesitate to blow themselves up "in the cause of allah". Allah has sealed the hearts of non-blievers!

India?
by usa on Jan 15, 2008 12:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Kerala - C/o Gulf
Tamilnadu - No Comments
Andhra Pradesh - Telangana movement
Karnataka - Ask Tamilnadu
Bihar,UP - Their weapons are sophisticated than Indian Army's
Bengal - Chinese will listen.
Seven sister states - Instant death if you are non-assamese.
Punjab - Khalistan
Kashmir - Kidding?
Rajasthan - They call you "paradesi".
Maharastra - Vidarbha movement.
...

Due to the intrinsic cultural diversity, each State in India cannot 'productively' govern more than 2 million citizens.
India should 'decentralize' 602 districts into States or Cantons as in Switzerland.
