I am not sure if you have visited gujarat. But gujarat is easily the most peaceful and an extremely open and progressive state. Under Modi, there has been no rights in the last 5 years and everyone (including muslims) have benefitted from the economic progress and peace. what happened in 2002 was said and the provocation (burning of 59 innocent people) was severe, but we should move on and look at things pragmatically. He is an able administrator and trust me that state is more peaceful (not riot torn) than any other state. I am a tamilian who has lived in gujarat and I am sharing my humble observations. BTW I am neither a congress nor a BJP supporter.

pls remind all these anti national elements in TN that ours is a democracy and not some medeival autocracy or dictatorship--one pro chinese,one pro ltte and one known terrorist outfit are raising protests for what?

just as how democracy permits one to visit and meet and keep alliances with whom they want, the same democracy also permits one to protest and oppose those things which one doesnt like !!!

I have faith in hinduism. But i think you don't have faith in congress? Sonia Gandhi has seen to it that most of the major posts in the party goes to christians.
