btw remember the author is living and reporting from beijing.. and it is chinese policy that if any reporter reports anything bad, about china then either the report will never make it out of the country , will be deleted even if it on the internet and the reporter will either be changed with criminal offence.
The authors visa will be revoked and will never be granted a visa ever again, unless she believes in reincarnation and gets a visa in second life.

have you ever tried to count the number of people reported to have died each year in coal minning alone... i am talking about the chinese officially accepted forget about the real numbers. To put it simply china in last year alone more people died in chinese coal minning than in all the minning work in india over 5 years

let me tell you another intersting fact... in china you cannot marry another person of a different province, unless you have a working rite in the province you are going to marry, or you declare that after marriage you are not going to move in that province for work...
i wonder how would we react if any government in India tried to implement this ridiculous law

I have live in China for 6 month. In Chinese cities, many many people marry inter-province. What a lie it is. It doesn't do any good to India at all.
Lately I saw CNN ,In china they eat all animals from -worms to tiger.All variety of animals sex parts are used as medications for impotency. China does not respect-wild life and forests Chinese are cannabils in many ways. Soon they may reach a point where no life can exist.
The last few lines summed it all. Its Unity among Diversity that makes India unique.This uniqueness suprises all and will continue to suprise all.India is different from China and it will make its own path towards prosperity.It does not require any role model to shape its destiny. Throughout history Invaders have invaded this country , stayed on , contributed to its diversity and became a part of it. 21st Centrury belongs to Asia :- China and India ,each evolving in its own way. No Comparisions please.
to remove poverty in India.. we need to sell half of the gold in our country... and i'm 100% sure.. tht we can remove poverty... We save money by buying gold... which is of no use.... who will buy all the gold..hehehehehehe where in china.. very very few people buy gold... this is the main reason...i think.... wht u guys say ??????????????

We can be rich in terms of lots of things if a common men think that way.
1. Stop wasting money for daily so called "vrat / tyohaars". 2. Stop using oil / agarbatti or any knd of metrail on daqily basis. You will see the difference in few years. 3. Stop listening to the pundits. They dont help you in any wat. 4. Stop showing show Off.

Mr.Mukherjee, pessimists see only the bad part of any episode. You conveniently forget that had it not been for the Communists, the Imperialists along with the Chruches might have swallowed the entire world long back! Communisim as an ideology might have lost its relevance today, you cannot ignore their contributions. There might have been mistakes but they were inevitable (remember the famous terminology "collateral damage" of the US President ? )
My thought is that India is in a mode of self denial on China's progress or they are totally ignorant. China is shrewed as any other developed country which acts in it's self interest and keeping the right balance on it's policies. They understand they are no free lunches in this world. They have moved on from ideology decades ago. India dominiance in IT & Software will be history in another 5-7 years. Courtsy the Chinese. These guys are using up largest deposits of Iron to build and build. Will India be late again? Will India miss the boat? All potential India has matters for nothing if we can't build a country like China is building. Wake Up?
The author is very correct on some of the issues talked about.Chinese view India as a nation that is poor with cows and other dirty loooking people going around in the cities. This is the same attitude fostered by the West which the chinese too have adapted to.
It is our brown skin color which makes people feel that it is dirt and hence Indians must be poor and unhealthy.
But beyond that,China really looks to compete with the USA.And they are forcasting(just like Indians when they can become the strongest nation). For the chinese,it is a surprise how the dirty and poor country(and democratic,which is a sin),be good or for that matter competitive to China(which is by all fact better than USA,in all respect in their minds). But,let me tell you mentally and civil sense,the Chinese are infact worse than Indians.Their principles of how life is to be lead are far behind in some respects(by this I mean,the principles of todays China,politically),to India.The fear that the world should know that the day such a power(with weak social and mental structure) becomes powerful enough to dictate terms over other nations.I believe India and America are very right on this issue.
