Dont blame China! I am racially discriminated against in INDIA!!!
by exoticbronze on Sep 17, 2009 10:42 AM  Permalink

Guys, please dont blame the chinese.

In India, I am called names and my culture, my language, my appearance is ridiculed and insulted. When ever I go to North India, I am called ethnic slurs by north Indians. In Delhi I was once told to get out of Delhi and go back to south. When I protested that I am an Indian, one north Indian guy told his friend in hindi....(This south indian is lecturing us. Seems to be a huge patriot. Wait till I give him a kick, see how he forgets his patriotism and learns to keep his mouth shut in Delhi.)

I have been called 'a_su_ra' and 'hab_shi' by my fellow citizens in North India. I have been told that (You south indians are upto no good. Those Pakistanis are way better than you south indians). And this has been my experience in New Delhi and NCR regions....the capital of the Country and surrounding areas!

I have interacted with a Chinese people in my trips abroad to Hong Kong, Silicon Valley, Europe and the Middle East. I have found them to be very hardworking and nice people. The one thing I noticed about all the Chinese people is they never take part in talking ill about others and dont gossip at all. I have received respect and love from the Chinese, and insults from my North Indian brothers.

If the Chinese have accepted the land handed to them by the PAK...
by shobana nair on May 19, 2008 07:32 PM  Permalink

Yes if the chinese have made own the land which the Paks have stealthy taken from us and given it to them the big question that arises here is how much can we trust them. The chinese arm those who have always created communial and territorial problem with us,They are supplying arms to all our hostile neighbours,so here we have to ask them itself how much should we trust them,or in other words how can we stop being suspicious about them for all these good deeds they do to us,the one done in the past and one going on in the present.

by Pt. KARTIKAY PANDEY on Jan 16, 2008 11:28 AM  Permalink

CHINA WILL ALWAYS BETRAY US, AS IN THE PAST. IT IS CONPIRING AGAINST US, ALONG WITH PAK AND OTHER ENEMIES OF INDIA. WE NEED TO LEARN POSITIVE ASPECTS SUCH AS DEV. ETC., FROM IT, BUT WE MUST ALWAYS BE AWARE OF ITS EVIL DESIGNS.

Some Comments

"The Chinese seem to feel that the barrier of mutual suspicions has been coming down faster from their side than from India's." -- greater power normally has greater confidences and shows greater tolerances.

"It won't help in removing concerns over border developments unless there is a distinct change in the attitude of the Chinese political leadership. " -- It applies the same to the Indian side. It won't help in removing concerns over border developments unless there is a distinct change in the attitude of the Indian political leadership.

Manmohan ji, see the Olympic city. You can see the development of 57 years. Then compare your 60 years' development in India.

Sahadevan, isn't it OUR 60 years' development? Even if we are lagging behind China, can't we have pride in what we have been able to achieve?

Unfortunately, we are too proud of ourself. we pat our back at whatever small achievment we get and feel complecent. We are still deep into corruption at all levels. We still promote Caste War, even after 60 years, by maintaining Quota system at all levels, we still accept our poor development and growth. Our red Tapes at all levels are real Red. In the name of development, the common men are heavily taxed (Indians pay the maximum Income Tax), though means of evading Tax for the Rich, Opportunists, Traders, are plenty.
Most of us can't imagine where China is today. One has to visit China and see how organized they are, their committments towards development. One of our states is having Marxist Government since almost last 35 yrs. They always keep talking about Marxism. Their Leaders keep vsisting China in the name of transfer of knowledge and developments. This State ministers are happy to announce that they are more developed compared to the worst developed state. So, do we have the attitude, temperament and tenacity to be like China!!! Let's accept, we don't have and even if we wait for decade, we may still lag far behind, since, progress pace in china is at leaps and bounds, beyond normal reach.
Lastly, let's wait FOR 08.08.08 and see at what level the Beijing Olympics is organzied.
Lastly, please note that, in true Sense and spirit, China has picked up development only after 1992. So, it is only 15 years and not 57 yrs.

china
by sagar raj on Jan 14, 2008 10:52 AM  Permalink

india should monitor the chinese very carefuuly ans always be on its toes. its clear from the past exprience that the chinese have scant respect for other nations. the manner in which they treat the indian territory or arunachal pradesh suggests that they wont even hesistate to launch an attack on india given they have the milliatry strength to achieve an outright victory. however its good for india that at present china does not have that option. a millitary conflict eith india will hit the chinese economy very hard which is stiil in the resurgent phase. however once china completes the resurgence of its economy then their is no doubt that it will really resort to its arm twisting a la india. the best thing india can do is to settle this border dispute as soon as possible or else cosy up to america.
