FBI has sided with Sinhalese government just on the basis of US getting concessions from Sri Lankan government. FBI and CIA know about Tsunami relief money that made Sinhalese rich in many areas. It knows about treatment of Tamils by Sinhalese before all the troubles. Whilst on behest of Saudi it helped Kosovans achieve separate state from Serbia, here they are serving Sinhalese masters. To them treament and harrassment of Tamils in Sri Lanka does not matter. These Americans therefore were terrorist when they fought the British for Indendance.

Actually the FBI and CIA aint straight forward.
They wanted to establish a base in South China Sea and they cannot align with both India and China. So they choose Srilanka and openly supported the miliants.
Rajiv Ghandi's assasination was carried by LTTE on the instructions of US - apparently rascals like Chandraswamy and Subramainam Swamy being chief culprits.
Next they changed their stance and supported the Srilankan government and trained their Navy Seals but still they were losing the battle.
Now they have accelerated their support to SriLankan government to make the region more unstable

Some on this forum seem to say as if Tamils migrated to Sri Lanka a few centuries back... That is not true. Tamils of Lanka have deep rooted history in that land. They are as native to that land as Sinhalese. In face Sinhalese are non other than the once Pali speaking migrants to that land from north India where as Sri Lanka is closer to Tamil Nadu and so Tamils are more native to that land in many ways...
By all this I am in no way supporting the violence in Sri Lanka by LTTE. I am against that. But that does not in any way make Tamils second class citizens in their own home land...

While I completely agree with you, I would like to say that Sinhalese are not migrants from India. They are natives of Srilanka who has taken Buddhism as religion (recollect Ashoka effort on spreading Buddism). Their language is a mix of Pali, Sanskrit and a local dialect.
Srilanka was ruled by Kings who spoke Tamil and followed Hinduism.
Very high influence of India was present continuously on Srilanka.
Apart from ethnic tamils their were migrants during early british rule of India to work in Tea gardens. This community can be identified from other ehtnic tamils through their accent. The migrant tamils are settled mainly in central Srilanka including Kandy.

India is struggling to fight separatism in many parts of the country inluding J & K and North East. So why should we bother about citizens of another country fighting each other ? I dont know how long India will remain as one country. One Britisher once asked me this and I was offended. But I am really having my doubts. We can not contain North east. kashmir was always a problem. If Pseudo secularists exist even many states may want to become separate countries.

Tamils are expats from Tamil Nadu and Sinhalese are expats from Orissa. Basically they have all the Indian connections and forefathers. There is no ethnic group called as Srilankan citizens.
Why are you talking about political situations in places which you're not aware of?
Every Tamilian condemn the terrorist operations of LTTE. But unfortunately this cannot hide the Human Right violations on innocent civilians of the Sri Lankan force and the former(IPLF) in Srilanka.
No terrorist outfit (except cross border terrorism sponsored by Pakisanis), be it AlQueda, or LTTE or PLO aint created without oppression on their own civilans.
