only Modi deserves Bharat Ratna
by Secular India on Jan 09, 2008 09:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I suppport Modi for Bharat Ratna. True man of action and courage. He is the only one who translated the dreams of Atalji and Advani into reality.

Why we can't give Atalji Bharat Ratna......but Bharat Ratna for Rajiv
by Tamil Arasan on Jan 09, 2008 09:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Because Rajiv did the great thing in the history of India by doing corruption even in our nation's security issue, Example "Bofors scam".

Atalji had a family even though not married. For Modi, India is his family. Atal was soft on Pakistan and terror which resulted in Kargill and Parliament attack. Modi would have never committed such blunders. If he shakes Musharraf's hands - he will crush it. He is superman.

Atal Jee is great. But even Rajiv was not as bad as you are saying. He had a vision for developed India. He bought the much criticized weapon, Bofors tanks but they proved themselves as the best tank during kargil war. The greatest thing which he did in his life was the decision to destroy sri lankan militants in such a way that they never got the power to fight back. Go to sri lanka and you will see the people who really love Rajiv. Militancy should not be accepted at any cost whether it%u2019s promoted by a Pakistani or an Indian.

I agree that Vajpayee can be considered Bharat Ratna for his contributions.
But PV Narasimha Rao should be considered for it ahead of him. So far we have been an ungreatful nation towards him due to political reasons.

Very well said!. His economic policy's were great. Though Atal Jee truely deserves the bharat ratna award. But Advani jee is looking for his nomination due to political advantage.

Advaniis sane
by Val Usa on Jan 09, 2008 09:24 PM  Permalink

Teh old age could lead your mind malfunctiong. This is true what's happening with Advani. he does not know, what he asks for or what he says. He may not have taken his medication? If Vajpayee, has done something for India, he will get reward sooner or later.

Good way to be talked about
by Narasimhan K V on Jan 09, 2008 09:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is more political motive in this move. Advani wants to be a initiator and center of a discussion, and we all as to how this will end. Honor is not to be sought or craved. By this act he has only made the life of Atal miserable.

From this gentleman's name (Narasimhan) it appears that he hails from Tamil Nadu. And the whole world knows how and why M G Ramachandran got Bharat Ratna. So people from Tamil Nadu better not comment on this story
