3 golden rules for effective politicians:
by Mark Cherian on Jan 09, 2008 09:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1. don't fight over religion
2. don't fight over language & caste
3. don't fight over pakistan

If we can avoid the above 3 things, then the politicians will have to actually do some work rather than diverting the public and causing fights!

What would have happened if you had blankly refused to pay more than say Rs 21?

Pushkar Pujaris are well known to threaten that if you dont pay your Puja will not be accepted by God! .. as if they are God's collection officers and God is dependent upon my money

i was there 2 weeks back and i was robbed by the pandits. they did the puja which i didnt want but the tour guide kept on insisted on that. after the puja he asked for Rs.8000. and i was like what for? pundit said "cuz you promised". i was like when did say promise you that. he said when i was saying the mantras. anyways long of the short of it is that i still ended up paying them Rs.2100.

Doesn't work like this.. these Pujaris and guides work togeter to loot the tourists.. its shameful the way they act in name of god.. if RSS wants to help Hinduism it should go after these kind of corrupt pujaris also who are spoiling image of Hinduism as well as India

Irrelevant!
by Farzana Allabasha on Jan 09, 2008 09:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I do not know why everyone starts abusing Islam and The Prophet (PBUH) when the news is about something else! Just like one priest does not make all the Hindus bad, few stray elements terrorizing in the name of Islam for personal gains does not make Islam or all the muslims bad!
Dear Brothers and Sisters understand that Islam stands for Peace and Tolerance. If You need clarification then read the translation of the Holy Quran and then you will understand.
Please do not abuse any person or community without having any knowledge.
Thanks
Let Peace be upon all of you!

I completely agree with Farzana. It is absurd to say that all belonging to a particular religion hate people belonging to other religions.

good one....I think we all are good and bad...what matters is whether our 'good' outweighs the 'bad' or vice-versa...
