Madam ambika soni should understand that the same is applicable to her more as she has got appointed as a minister thanks to knowing more about italian culture than Indian .
Indians instead of greeting with Namaskar had started doing hai...hui...etc. etc. It sometimes seems so funny. Let us not copy the western culture and be ourselve. Better said than done
i have seen NRI's standing near pani-puri wallas and having pani puri eating it with great taste; after having it they will take out bisleri bottle and drink water and will comment - you know in india water is very dirty....... hahaha
Does it mean that all in India are aware of the Indian culture !!!! Lets start at home first. We are fast forgetting not only are national language but also regional one's .....the educated particularly in the big metros do not want to be caught chatting in Hindi...catch any movie star on an interview and chances they shall reply to question asked in Hindi in English...
Am an NRI and have stopped attending the so-called cultural programs as the only thing cultural is the song and dance which we have no choice but to live with ....and the worst part is that even in these cultural shows the mandatory High commissioner speech is in English !!!
Got nothing against English but to me my culture starts from my mother tongue which is not being given due respect neither abroad by NRI's nor in India ....

Very well said indeed. This is the minimum we NRI community can do to the next generation. India will undergo very rapid changes in the near future and hence getting our children in touch with its motherland is a must.

Hi, I am an american with indian roots too. Who says that the mentioned points by you don't exist in foreign nation. It is every where but you cant get indian culture anywhere. To lokk into india you have to be very much related to the soil and society of india. Sorry to say we don't need indian like you. You be better american. America will be more happy getting you as a citizen. Do you really feel that america is really happy with you????????????

what a double standard ms Soni.Remember you yourself and your chamchas advocated that There is no Shri Ram and hence there cannot be a Shri Ram Sethu???? just to please the Muslim and Christian and other minority population of this country.Indian Culture is evolved from Hindu ethos and Hindusm which is deep rooted in the minds of people (Hindus ) here so please first teach the Indian children what is Indian culture then preach wisdom

I think u r mistaken. Soni told NRI kids to learn indian culture except hindu culture. coz congress never recognises that there is some culture called hindu culture.
