Don't trust USA
by on Jan 06, 2008 06:08 PM  Permalink

Solar power is feasible, a lot of countries are using it. India has very big opprtunity.
Wave energy, or wind energy are also very much feasible.
However, India get all electricity, 97 percent from Thermal or hudroelectricity. Only South India needs nuclear energy, as there is no coal but there are many possibility of hydro electricity even in South India.
Nuclear energy or electricity is not the issue. India can get nuclear power plants from Russia, as Iran is getting and Pakistan is getting from China. There is no need for Indo-US Deal because that will eliminate Indian's nuclear weapons.
USA cannot be trusted, it is a friend of both of our enemies, China and Pakistan.
USA want to destroy our nuclear weapons programme; that is the real aim of the Indo-US Deal.

India need Nuclear Fuel supply ( UNINTERUPTED)
once we go for Nuke Reactors in a big way.

Russian's are not having Uranium supplies.
Uranium can be sourced from Australia & Canada. Both are Westren Block countries.

Mr No Name >> How can India get Fuel supplies from russia for next 40 years.

It is no more a question of 3 /4 Russian recators at Kundankulam.

Pls for gods sake try to understand whole picture , if do not know it than just do not start forming opinions.

India does not need Nuclear Deal with USA
by on Jan 06, 2008 12:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India, just like Iran( from Russia) or Pakistan( from China) can get all nuclear plants from Russia. There is no need for nuclear plants from USA and in return give up our nuclear weapons. This is a policy of suicide when both China and Pakistan are armed with nuclear weapons and are ready to use at any time.

Man Mohan Singh is a traitor,; possibly he is an agent of the Khalistanis; that is the reason he is so interested to give up our nuclear weapons so that Pakistan can destroy India at any time.

Under Indo US nuke deal, no one is forcing India to Give up Nuclear weapons.

You are fool to assume that. Have you ever Read the deal. Why are saying all this non sense.

You may not like MM Singh or Congress but MM Singh is true to India and his finance policy is good.

Also take note that India's Nuclear needs are far far greater than IRAN.

Do not compare IRAN with India.
Iran is just like a small Indian state.

When India goes shopping whole world takes note

You have abolute no idea what nonsense you are talking.

I doubt if you are an INDIAN.

Must go nuclear
by sg sg on Jan 06, 2008 12:46 PM  Permalink

I believe the India should transfer some of their energy requirements to nuclear, but not under the present agreement but a freashly drafted one. Second R&D in India is a sham, we dont have results in decades and see no reason in putting up with moroons and feeding them. Either revamp the entire system without political intervention with highly paid faculty and trainees with a time frame.

Nuke deal may not be beneficial
by Gurudutt kamath on Jan 06, 2008 10:32 AM  Permalink

Sri R Srinivasan is right in his thoughts. Let the younger generation in whose hands is the future of this country shall remain must get sensitised in this matter seriously. With the globalized influence, most of us are not remembering 2moros we are going to live in.
