Divide & Rule...
by ks wasu on Jan 05, 2008 06:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Seems that Mr.Uddhav beleives in 1 Prime minister for each state and wants to dis-integrate India with his noble words of wisdom.
When the accused were not identified,All North Indians were branded as Molestors.
When the accused have been caught with the help of a sandwitch seller(northIndia)he is now accusing his own MARATHA police of rounding up innocent locals and sparing North Indians.
Does it Make sense.Its disgusting.
At a time when the whole country witnessed such shameless display of arrogance and Male dominance,he is dividing the same into regional equations.
Not able to protect Hindutva and Kashmiri Pundits and downtrodden,he is depriving the downtrodden of compassion and affection as it may be mistaken as religious favourism.
Christians are being attacked in Orrisa & other states.
Sikhs have been massacered all over India in 84.
Hindus have been butchered in Punjab.
Statements like these have brought the ANIMAL out of each religion and region in open.
Cant we see the no.of Sikhs who were saved in Riots by Hindus
That there was no communal Riots in Punjab.
That there are plenty of Christian missionares treating dowtrodden and lepers and below poevrty line.
Humans who care a damm about which religion their next meal is coming from.
As Indians,Lets stop looking at a Glass thats HALF EMPTY.
Lets see the Glass as HALF FULL and India will be a better place with a social fabric unparalled all over the world.
Words from a Indian Sikh(proud of both identity)

Mr. Wasu, you seem to be ignorant about Mumbai's state of affairs. Let Mumbai be Mumbai. It's different.

Mr Uddhav - Clean Up BMC
by adn on Jan 05, 2008 06:14 PM  Permalink

Mumbai is in a bad shape due to Slums, Illegal structures & Illegal Bangladeshi's.
In all these cases, it is the BMC to be blamed, as they are the once who allow Slums & Illegal structures to come up and then authorize it.
They are the once to issue ration cards and allow Illegal Bangladeshi to stay in this country.
All these are done by the goverment officials who are mostly Maharashtrians.

So just for a few ruppes, these so called Sons of Soil (Maharashtrian Officials) have sold off this city and made it filthy and unsafe for women.

So Mr Uddhav, get the BMC cleaned up and you will see this city shine like before.

Hi Jasleen,
I am sorry i i did not see your write up before commenting.
Would have given another input to the constricted brains of such petty politicians.
Keep it up and feel good about what you do to keep the country one rather than worrying about people who cant keep their flock steady(as if all maharashtrians vote for this 1 Man)...lol
Thank's

Mr. Red Hot,
We need people like you to remind us of what Britishers coined - "Dogs and Indians not allowed "
This was Mumbai will be saying "Dogs and North Indians not allowed "
Whereas North Indians will say ""Dogs and Mumbaikars not allowed "
As it is South India has a big issue with Hindi..so much that they will speak ENGLISH with pride and scorn at anything coming from WEST OR NORTH.
Not to forget about ..North East who are talking about Autonomy.
Seems like no one is talking about COUNTRY ..unified by Sardar Patel ....
All onto his own game seems to be the mantra.
Keep it up..
You will LEAD INDIA..i am sure
Thank's

Most politically incorrect statement by a politician.
by on Jan 05, 2008 06:13 PM  Permalink

I would just say that this happens to be the most politically incorrect statement by a politician in the era where being political correct is being so very much hyped.
How can Indian nationals whose fundamental right is to settle in any part of the country be called migrants to Mumbai? Besides this Mumbai is a city of migrants and indeed the Maharashtrian population is quite less but pointing to the fact that only the Non-Maharashtrian population is to blame for the city's crime is indeed over-generalisation.
People are moving on to becoming world citizens and certain people are still stuck up with racism and linguisn.
It is indeed high time that Shiv-Sena grows up and becomes more Indian that becoming more Maharashtrian.

Shivsena and its leader were always misquoted
by GN on Jan 05, 2008 06:12 PM  Permalink

i oppose the earlier stand of Shivsena when they been saying Mumbai only for Marathis. ( 1973)

But when balasaheb said - Throw away all illegal bangladeshis and ISI agents from mahrasthra during an interview at Gate of India, many of the news papers MIS QUOTED the other day with head line " BAL Thackeray demands all MUSLIMS to be thrown out of MAHARASHTRA".

regarding the BIhari issue in mumbai, I personally feel each and every north indians in Mahrashtra must respect the culture of land and obey with that.

Wow! @ Uddhav
by Amjad Khan on Jan 05, 2008 06:12 PM  Permalink

Mr. Uddhav cant stop scoring political point in the pain of some victims either, and talking abt the Molestors, there were marathis in the gang, and quite a majority of them. Truth is, they dunn belong to any caste creed state or anything, they'd do it anywhere, mumbai, calcutta delhi or chennai

Same yard stick for all people
by sirisha k on Jan 05, 2008 06:09 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If Udhavji is thinking that migrants are bringing disrepute to Mumbai and ban outsiders from working there. It is a good idea. But at the same time same principle should be applied,by banning Marathi people from working in other cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai,Delhi,Gujarat etc.

They don't step outside their own yard anyway to the cities you have mentioned, unlike those from these cities piling here.

If at all, most Marathi speaking migrate to the West, particularly the US.!

India's Silicon valley is mainly concentrated in these places only. so it is natural for educated indians to work there including marathi people.
