This is why India was ruled by Mughals and British for ages.
by anand dubey on Jan 05, 2008 08:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its so simple to divide INDIA. One person with some men on his side, cam comment so that people start to fight among themselves. What a shame.

Issue is how to develop as a country as one. Find the reason why people migrate from other states, try to solve the issue and not fight.

And people who are NOT UP/Biharis, dont be fooled that you are liked buy these people, once they get done with one, you are the next.

For every, stop calling Ghatis, Gujjus, Bhaiyas, etc. you never now where you will go next.

JAI HIND

I am not from Maharashtra but from North and not for Shivsena for sure but one incident when I was in a line waiting for bus near Dadar station, local people were lined in a disciplined manner but few people punjabis and UP just created chaos and pushed a lady to get in before her. It's a shame. Even in a train bound to UP/Bihar from Mumbai, you will see these kind of rowdy behaviour, I am not saying all locals are good but mostly the culture of Mumbai is changed by North Indians and mostly given a bad name to it, call it Delhi-UP-Bihar culture.

Gap between Rich and Poor
by rexberry on Jan 05, 2008 08:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Metropolitans in india are going to suffer thanks to the policies which create more gap between rich and poor... Unfortunately rich are gettin richer and poor gettin more poorer...Rich get everything which is even illegal and they have so much of power that they legalise it for there happiness.. for eg parties in 5 Star where you find semi nude girls dancing and people enjoyin her,its defined as party or a part of western culture and the girls are professional dancer, while the same thing the middle class used to do in dance bars that was termed as prostitution and bar girls were termed as prostitutes,no doubt that place is ugly but even what the rich do is not sacred.. such situations will create havoc in future, even on 31st we have seen rich goin for shows of bipasha rakhi etc... while poor were on roads.. They see everyone enjoyin while they are deprived and they are bound to get jealous... I feel this cases should be handled as in europe where they have legalised many things so that the whole situation is in check.. banning and depriving some portion of people will create huge problems as again even they will try to get things illegally and for that they are ready to do anything... As far as migration to mumbai is concerned as an indian please define me...Do anyone need passport to enter mumbai or a shivsena card...Hadh ho gaya

the reason they dont legalise anything is taht kickbacks, bribes etc will stop--you take any indian law--there are enough loopholes to loot and grease palms-as regards entering mumbai i think we still live in a democracy enjoying fundamental rights

Maharashtrians
by akshay parab on Jan 05, 2008 08:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Maharashtrians are the most professional of the Indians. anywhere in India cheating is so

common but in Maharashtra the job always get done. that's why mumbai became a huge buisness
hub ask any gujju or marwadi he knows that better. More importantly Maharashtrians are extremely cosmopolitan and welcoming................................. Others (Indians) have taken advantage of their kindness and wholeheartedness. also if people think migrants are the

saviours of mumbai then u can make ur own mumbai elsewhere if u have the potential. By the way Marathi people are extremely disciplined and respect women the most. Thats why they ruled 3/4 th of India not a long time ago

Release every singlle name of the offendors and all will agree migrants are the source of trouble.
by Aditya Phadnis on Jan 05, 2008 08:28 PM  Permalink

Rediff delibrately supresses the names of the 19 offenders arrested in this molestation case.

Just for information for all, ALL 19 I repeat all 19 are migrant low skill labourers and guess from where?? UP and Bihar.

People from lawless states are brought up lawless and hence always have a scant respect for law, and hence have always broken laws and will try to break laws. This is a fact, anyone in Mumbai will agree to that.

Just publish the 19 names and where do they hail from, it will shut the mouths of all bloggers and message posters who are spittting rubbish.

By the way even New Delhi is asking for carrying ID Cards for all due the uncooth Migrants causing law and order problem in Delhi.

So dont have double standards for Delhi and Mumbai. If Migrants from UP and Bihar are a problem in Delhi they also are a problem in Mumbai. Law is same for both. So no double standards please.
