This is the same thing what TN seshan had started for Photo id for elections. It was never implemented. I had been photographed for the id some 10 years ago and havent recieved it till date. It is no use to make it compulsory when the administration cannot issue the id cards, There seems to be lack of implementation plansin india.

True.. Implementation needs to be quick and efficient. Also measures to check duplication need to be taken which is a bigger challenge.

Not only the question of Delhi and Mumbai, it should be implemented everywhere in India. It would be sheer foolishness for other states to wait for them to turn into terrorist-prone areas and then implement ID proofs. Do it ASAP.

see whats happening in your papistan aka pakistan. very soon there will be jungle raaj. when you will be asked to show ID- you have to open zip to show your small trimmed....
