Embarrassing Act and Demoralizing Fact
by mukesh modi on Jan 04, 2008 07:38 PM  Permalink

Cultured people never indulge in such antisocial activities. The Miscreants already had this on their head whosoever comes their way. The stunning fact is that nobody bothered to raise voice against them NOT even Police. This really demoralizes the common men who feel helpless. The police should have instantly swung into action. The security at such public places should have been intensified sensing and anticipating such incidents on January 1, Friendship Day, Valentine Day, Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Visarjan, Navaratri etc. It is the administration's duty to protect the public. Its time for all of us to teach such antisocial elements a good lession.

R R Patel
by pris pal on Jan 04, 2008 07:32 PM  Permalink

I am not an NCP or Congi supporter but Home Minister R R Patel should be appreciated for taking a tough stand on this issue rather than what the Commisoner had said to the media that it was a small issue.

by Think Again on Jan 04, 2008 07:25 PM  Permalink

Whats wrong with media and courts.. why is this case getting special treatment and unnecessary hype. There are millions of pending cases and people who require justice...
Agreed this is a big crime(people should punished) but just because its new year eve and NRIs news does not deserve this much space in news and media..leave them alone,it helps victims also..
Would media create same sensation if the victims were normal woman coming out of a normal hotel??? no body cares .. its all over reaction ..get your senses back and cut the crap please!

idiot,NRI's are doing more service to the nation than even any hardworking citizen,NRI's are more risk takers than we citizens bcoz they are more disciplined than Indians, those 70 dogs represent what India is fast turning into-MOB RULE,I think since it is collective & organised crime, the punishment should be very lengthy, even if not possibly harsh

WILL THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE?
by URMILA NATARAJAN on Jan 04, 2008 07:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hope the culprits get exemplary punishment. This is a cancer in our society. In my opinion, people are to be taught to respect women in their childhood onwards. This must start at home. But, does this happen in our homes? Elders in the family show to theIR children by example that mEn and women are not equal. This must change first. A GOOD CITIZEN AT HOME ONLY CAN BE A GOOD CITIZEN IN PUBLIC

media court up in arms
But what about poor women of our country madam who will come to their rescue in some rich states also women who suffered are given some compensation to shut the truth

Yes, GOOD CITIZENS should stay at home only and not lurch on the streets frequented by drunkards on a new year eve during odd hours

Should all the medical/emergency/travel people also stay at home during "odd hours". Why blame the victims? This attitude implies that if people are not at home during "odd hours" then it is acceptable to molest them.

Every man is basically the same. Whether it is Lalusons or a common man on the street, they do not spare even a half chance to abuse a woman! I am sure many of you men will jump at me for this sweeping remark, but it is right to a great extend

even this media should be thought how to handle issues when it involves dignity of women, these people take as their birth right to go on air with whatever pics they have without thinking of the consequences. Indian media lacks basic etiquette

Sick minded people are present in any category of people. Only sick minded people can claim their society is perfect and others' is bad. Bihari, Gujarati, Malayalee , Marathi, Bengali or Punjabi are all same when it comes to the women's matters

Why are you getting so angry without any reason. Are you metal? Just read my post again, I said what you have written in your mail that the people from any state are same when it comes to behaving women. So its not good to blame any specific community for all wrongs happening in the city.
