It is Win Win for MP Prakash & BJP
by Thimme Gowda on Jan 05, 2008 10:13 PM  Permalink

Since BJP is still not very strong in Old Mysore region districts such as Hassan, Mandya, Chamarajpet. So BJP has to sweep other districts to compensate this. Also Wherever BJP is weak, Congress & JDS are strong. Thhis true in many places except Bellary. Most of the MP Prakash faction leaders will get tickets from BJP but canogress cannot promise tickets to MP prakash faction leaders. That is why it is MP prakash is planning to join BJP. If he joins congress , congress as to face rebel.

democracy is the best way to settle disputes
by Pradip Parekh on Jan 05, 2008 10:22 AM  Permalink

let bjp-karnataka not have hteir cm **chosen** by some body in nai dillie, aka the so-called high command. no sir, the days of high command are over, for somebody sitting in nai dillie can not possibly have the best interests of the people of karnataka at heart or the insight into karnataka's problems to make the most objective judgement. that role must remain with the local folks. if there is a tussel between local aspirants - and there is absolutely nothing wrong with having aspirations - the best remedy is to have local party elections with the condition that once winners are declared, everybody must unite behind him/her. let the best man win, as judged by local folks.

MP Prakash should take Sanyas from politics
by Demo-crazy on Jan 04, 2008 02:51 PM  Permalink

MP Prakash has demonstrated that he is an opportunist. I do not know what will be the BJP gains. If Lingayats (like most other right thinking citizens) sympathy is with Yediyurappa, there is no such sympathy for MP Prakash for the same reason - that his earlier party ditched BJP and Prakash did NOT do anything to avert it, instead he tried to create an alliance with Congress to become the CM.

MP Prakash has lost his moorings. It is better he takes political sanyas. One less politician is no big loss for Karnataka.
