Naapaak perhaps still not ready for democracy.
by chanakya maurya on Jan 04, 2008 12:31 PM  Permalink

And the democratic norms.

And this is amply demonstrated by various instances of political turmoils of the naapaaak.

Only a dictator like this wily general can hold the country together.

He is a wise, smart guy like an American movie hero. He knows to play the cards well, the only difference is that he doesn't have a Pamela Andersen like blondes with him.(who cares). He fires for the Government and is always with his ISI team, which hopefully won't get a divorce either. The PM who will become may be another puppet -(Sonia sans MSingh) and let all the Lakshar -E- Taieba,Hizbul Mujahidden,Al Qeida,Jaish E Mohammed and other similar Jehadi Co-operative societies and movements to flourish and turn Pakistan into a Taliban stan. Then would the world come to know the true colour of this Double standard personality. For all the monies that flow into Pakistan is being utilised only for arming the people and bloodshed. The victims in POK earthquake are still eating mud.
My Indian brothers and sisters we have to be very cautious , the incidents of Maosits,LTTE and other so called Jihadi groups flourishing in India are going to destablilise our country as well. Please let us vote this puppet government of ours and find a bold government at the Center or else we will be facing a situation what Parkistan is currently suffering.

well what you said is correct. its in our hand to elect the govt who can rule the country for the country's benefits and not their own. I guess with the new face of youth who are full of calibers and dreams, there should be more youth contesting in elections. But the sad part is, today's youth are so busy that they hardly go to polling both for vote... they are busy in their own world, and dont actually cares who runs the country. only when it comes to their own self interest they take the chance to blame govt. sad part of india,

Release ex-CJ and form caretaker govt for election conduct.
by viswanatha seshadri on Jan 03, 2008 08:36 AM  Permalink

If pak wants international credibility, the Chief Justice under house-arrest must be restored to power to head a care-taker govt for running election with police help, army into the barracks, ISI to be disbanded. Musharref to resign and move to saudi arabia for prayers in Mecca for atonement for all wrongs done.

Pakistan has descended to anarchy and hopelessness. Benazir went in with eyes wide open. She had to, as otherwsie she would have become irrelevant. She knew the dangers. The waters were shark infested but after the hype she created, she could not turn back. She took a plunge from great heights and paid the price.

Musharaff is obviously feeling the heat. To his credit, he shows great courage. A lesser man would have cracked. Let us give the devil, his due.

We should watch and learn from the travails of Pakistan, Iraq, North Korea etc. Once you are in a shit hole, others cannot do much. There are wheels within wheels. Our politicians are dancing with the wolves, even though many cannot stand or see. So far, the common man has been the hero. "You play dirty amongst yourselves, we know to take care of ourselves" saves him. Unfortunately, politics is based on mudslinging, with our national interests getting a low priority. The only certainty is any new govt will face the same set of problems with the opoosition trying to bring them down.

It is an irony that Pakistan gets so much goodwill and help from Middle East, China etc, but is ever mired in trying to find its destiny. We all have to learn there is no alternative to hard work & disclipline, as China is proving now.

The descent of Pakistan is a lesson to all neighbouring countries not to play with fire, but to believe in the goodness of humanity. Reality will always return with a vengeance.

PPP is Heading for Split; Mush's Releance set to Incraese
by outspoken on Jan 03, 2008 06:00 AM  Permalink

PPP will see a bitter power struggle and finally split as Bhuto's hubby Zardari is universally hated inside PPP. Any non-Butto leader's rise will be checked by Zardari. Sharif's party minus Sharif will engender the same fate. In that scenario, Mush balancing the power centres without PPP and Sharif's party looks the stable scenario.
