Why do we here in India think a democracy in pak will solve the militant problems? Why should a democratically elected government be any better at fighting the terrorists than the present army government? Why should a new government be more favorable than the current army one when it comes to resolving kashmir issue when actions of no previous elected governments point to the same? Infact if I'm not wrong the Musharaf government were the ones to come closest to coming to a settlement in kashmir? So, why do we want a democracy again? Is it cause we genuinely feel for the paki ppl or just cause we want a democracy wherever possible?

This is our sub-continental habit of finding a foreign hand to blame everything on. America is doing what is their supreme national interest. If Pakistan allows itself to be used by America, it is Pakistan's folly, not America's. Let us stop blaming USA for everything.

Pakistan's problem is America's benefit. More the confusion, easier it is to impose policies. America created banana republics closer to home. Now they like to have all across the globe.
Democracy would bring in fundamentalist into power just like B'desh. Let us not forget that the 1971 and 1999 wars with India happened when there was a democratically elected govt. in Pak.
Friends dictatorship is in the best interest of India and US. The nukes would be in safer hands that. So let us appreciate the good work of US and Mush.

I agree. The biggest weapon the elected Pakistan leaders have been using is 'Kashmir'. Ever if we are to care for an average Pakistani (not connected to fanatism & politics), we have seen enough instances of the democratic governments being overthrown. Like the original author rightly pointed out, the nukes are in safer hands (atleast they are in the hands of an American puppet).
Be Indian Buy Indian , spend your time for India and for its development, let your time be utilised for the betterment of your country, don't waste time discussing for a piece of leg which was cut due to Cancer(appeasement). Lost is lost , try to employ your energy for the nations benefit. WE INDIAN SHOULD HENCEFORTH STOP CONTINUOLSY REPLYING TO PAKISTAN RELATED ISSUES, LET THEM DO IT FOR THEMSELVES. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH TROUBLE BECAUSE OF THEM. LET OUR GOVERNMENT STOP SAMJAUTHA EXPRESS AND LAHORE BUS IMMEDIATELY OR ELSE MORE JIHADIS WILL BE IN INDIA THAN IN PAKISTAN.

I found Patriotism in your message let all Indians follow this. As per Musharaff other countries has no business to interfere in Pakistan affairs. This is 100% true.if more and more pakistanis die it is an advantage for India only and not for America.
