SECULAR governments
by Dheeraj Akula on Jan 03, 2008 11:12 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

SECULAR governments have an Endowment Minister and Endowment Department to manage Hindu temples and rob the money donated by Hindu devotees. Did they ever publish what they are doing with the Hindu money?

Why don't they have similar departments for mosques and churches?

Why don't these SECULAR people treat all religions alike?

we donot require security, hence we are not going for any darshan to have a such a crowd in mosque, infact we pray shoulder to shoulder standing behind Imam, we can pray any where in this world on salah time. Islam is perfect deen in the eyes of allah.

Mr.Sultan, your memory seems to be very short. There were many incidents of stampede during the stone throwing at Haj and fire at tents of pilgrims at Mecca, etc, no to speak of bomb blasts at Hyderabad mosque and Ajmer! Why you people single out only one section of the society?????

because not all the temples are having money to fund their daily expenses. They have to use the rich temple's money to maintain other small temples.

To help small temples, government's involvement is not needed. The big temples can do that directly.

Hindu money is diverted by the government for mosques and churches. Do you know that?

Government must keep out of religious affairs
by Dheeraj Akula on Jan 03, 2008 11:03 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In Andhra Pradesh, the state government has an Endowments Department, which monitors the Hindu temples and even "takes care" of money donated by devotees.

It is this Endowments Department, which is responsible for the messy state of affairs in all temples. They run the temples as though they are business centers.

Temples must be run by temple authorities only without any governmental interference.

Mr.Dev, have you heard the saying "give the dog a bad name and hang it" You label every hindu as VHP/RSS/BJP supporter. The hindu temples are under the control of the respective State Government and there is no way the funds from temples can be diverted to any activity of those parties!!

Temples are all about greed and money not god
by Sincere Citizen on Jan 03, 2008 10:47 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I dont thinks any gods live in any of these temples or worship places. These things have become a haven for greedy people to make lots of money and for VIP's to show their political clout.

Better people worship the gods in their hearts.

The devotees fail to understand that most of the places of worhsips (of all religions) have now degenerated into money making ventures. It is really a waste of time and money visiting such places. On the top of that these type of incidents also take place!

The primary reason for degeneration is government's involvement in religious affairs.

In AP, we have an Endowments Department, which looks after all temples and also "takes care" of money deposited by devotees.

Endowments Department looks after of Hindu temples, but not Muslim Mosques and Christian Churches.

Accept Muslims, we donot have to take any thing to the masjid to satisfy Allah. thanks allah, everyone is equal in front of allah, In Hinduism every body has to take something to offer to a god, a poor man he cannot satisfy GOD, rich man with black money doing mistiefs on the earth he will be given preference to have a darshan first. Can any body think man has created idol and he is worshipping him by making temples, what is this religion.

Mr.Sultan, if your religion is good for you, practice it. Don't redicule other faiths. I am an atheist and don't have any hesitation in rediculing any faith. Be prepared to accept redicule for your faith also if you redicule others. I have read The Koran and know for sure what it contains!!!!!!!! So don't try to be over-smart.

temples are for collecting money
by Siddarth on Jan 03, 2008 10:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Almost all temples in india are exist to collect money from people who are in desprate need to solve their problem. Temple in tirputi collects crores of ruppes. We have not seen anywhere this money has been utilized. Most non-hinu holy places outside india are very well organsed and too much facalites are provided to the visitors and the best thing is they dont ask for single penny from the visitor.

Hello Mr. Siddarth,

Speak if you know or else keep quite. Do you know there is a trust in Tirupathi. TTD. It has various temples all over and has sponsored so many good things for a common man. It has hospitals, schools etc under its trust and are doing lots of things to help those in need. So dont just say, they are not doing anything.

For facilitating easy darshans for public, they have this ticket tagging and finger print system. These tickets can be booked from anywhere, near to your home. There are lot of TTD outlets which can book tickets for you.

So dont blame if you dont know.....!!!!

Do not visit temples on 1st January, your day is Diwali.
by Jitendra Chokshi on Jan 03, 2008 10:34 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I do not know who started this trend, but Hindu people are visiting temple on 1st January instead of Diwali. One should not go to places where lakhs of people gather. stay away. and go after one day and have peaceful darshan.

The advice to stay away from crowded places is acceptable......but surely there is no fixed particular day, date or time to visit a place of worship or any other for that matter, that can be prescribed by someone totally unconnected. And the remark about hindus visiting a temple on 1 st Jan instead of Diwali is completely stupid and it is mentality such as yours that gives rise to communal discord. What is wrong with a trip to the temple on 1 st Jan ? For your information, it isnt all hindus that celebrate a new year on diwali. New years fall on various days but you seem to think that only Jains such as you are right and the rest of the world is wrong.

How does it matter whether you visit temple on Diwali or New Year Day? How would it solve the problem of crowd management? Its about belief & faith. It is quintessential to have improved infrastructure for better crowd management.

JGN,

Most of the 211 people you are mentioning died due to natural reasons.Previously there were stampedes and fire accidents killing many. the authorities were effective in preventing accidents. if the authorities have taken proper preventive steps " KUMBAKONAM MAHAMAHAM STAMPEDE" "THANJAVUR BIG TEMPLE FIRE ACCIDENT " could have certainly avoided

BTW pakeshaan just want the kind of answer you told to create trouble and spread hatred. he is certainly a trouble monger in mask, in a mesage he has written he is from LAHORE in another from KARACHI.

When we learn to respect each other?????
by Julius Augustine on Jan 03, 2008 10:34 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is very sad that whether there is a news involving Hindus and Muslims or for that matter any other religious issues, this message board becomes a canvass for the readers to spill out the filth that is in their mind whether it is anti-Hindu, anti-Christian or anti-Muslim. While many write here assuming that Indian Muslims are 'un-Indian', we also have this Telugu, Kannada, Mallu, Tam issues with the choicest language being used to abuse each other. This attitude is more dangerous and deplorable than any other in the world. We really need to change our way of thinking in this global world and learn to respect other religions, cultures and practices without being judgemental about them. Grow up my fellow Indians! Be the change you want to see in the world!

Somehow your message seems not a soothing one but one that spreading religious beans. There is no striking sympathy for the dead or injured. It is one's own faith that leads them in their own path of religion. Looking for the change to other religion may be self-destructive. One should not spread messages with underlying meaning in the guise of 'change'. The message board is for constructive approach. Let us pray for the souls of those who lost their life in this incident and for the early recovery of those who were hurt irrespective of religious sentiments. Thanks.
