hindus need to take interest
by Aditya on Jan 03, 2008 04:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is really sad. It represents a failure of both the government and hindus in general. Why did the temple authorities not make another door? And why did the hindus who fund the temple also not think of this ? Do people have to be killed in a stampede for authorities to realize that accomodations have not been made??
Hindus need to take more interest in such matters because the people running the temples (who also claim to be hindus) do not really care. It is regular hindus like you and me who should look into such matters at our local temples and try to bring some change.

hindu temple
by susi soni on Jan 03, 2008 01:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

our rulers all troughout took the pleasure of exlpoiting the hindus, and subdivided them, and exploited their temple by taking it over and used its funds other than religiousone, there is a huge demand to be a temple board member of a rich temple specially the tirupati temple, people who are meate eaters alcoholics can also be a board member, wether he is a follower of the preisding deity is also to be probed. It has become a VIP money spinners business. Let all the devotees know that all those who visit and have darshan of the god or godess on the basis of power and money, is away and discarded by the god or godess, and the only person who will successed in darshan, who do dharam darshan with devotion, and mind it the money poured in the hundis may used or misused also. But our ruler have various policy man mohan sing assures Ms Gram Staines about the security of the muslims, but refraims the missioners to shun conversions, he never telephoned the karsevaks families who were burnt alive in godhra, why dont he follow his famous sikh guru who opposed the moghuls who wanted to convert the hindus tooth and nail. We should be as secular as any sikh guru, and we do not require malik kafur/ Khiljis and evalgilists

Susu soni, whatever the members of the board may be, that has no bearing on the pilgrims themselves. If they have come with clean hearts their karma is good. Honestly, even I dont know why Manmohan runs after muslims and christians, who believe their religion is superior to others and their god is the only true god. Manmohan has obviously forgotton what the muslims did to the hindus and the sikhs when they invaded and how millions of us got slaughtered. I guess he has been spending too much time in the presence of that communal catholic sonia.

Karma does not have any effect on life or death. man who did good karma also will die man with bad karma also will die. The matter of death also does not have any effect on karma.
death is desided when one borns. karma will show its effect after death.

Curruption at temples
by Azad on Jan 03, 2008 01:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is all because of hell lot of munting curruption in temples, VIP, VVIP Darshana's, lots of favourings from political and Burocrats, In any other relegion we dont find this kind of thing. When everybody is equal in front of GOD, why specail darshana's for different kinds of people. If the same system continues, no hindu will dare to go to the famous temples. If you go to Church or Masjid everybody is treated with equal importance most of the times, though I am a Hindu I appreciate their way of prayers to the god.

You are right.

Left to himself, YSR would have probably given away the Thirumala to the Church. There were strong rumours that he had alloted land for a church on Thirumala.

All these special queues are created by this so called secular corrupt politians. All money collected is looted by this politicians Let this people visit DHARMASTHALA in karnataka and see how it is managed by a private trust.Temples have become looting and money making mills for this third class third rate shameless ruling currupt gang of mafia politians IRRESPECTIVE OF THE PARTY THEY represent .Every year after looting as much as possible rest is transferred to government coffers .Someone has to start a movement to release all temples from govt. shackles and should be made as a place to teach our ancient sanathana dharma and temple funds should be used strictry to teach Vedas Upanishads and bhagavat geeta to everyone who is willing to learn .

Indian Crowd ... A brief Insight..

The Population Explosion*

How fast is India Growing
The population clock in the Union Health Ministry, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi, now ticks at the rate of 31 persons per minute. The clock shows that about 44,640 babies are born in India everyday. Hence the population of India increases by 16.29 million every year, which is equivalent to the total population of Australia. Here are some more facts about our motherland.

The present population of India is around 1.4 Billion (1400 Million). The billionth baby is a girl. Her name is ASTHA (which means Faith). Her mother's name is Anjana Arora, and her father's name is Ashok Kumar Arora. She was born in Delhi at Saftharjung Hospital at 5.50 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2000.

India with about 2.4% of the land area in the world contains about 16% of the population of the world.

The density of the population in India has climbed up from 261 per square kilometer in 1981 to 267 per square kilometer in 1991. This is ten times greater than the density in the United States (26 per square kilometer) and 2.5 times greater than the density in China (109 per square kilometer).

The birth rate in India (31 per thousand people) is greater than that of China (20 per thousand people). If this trend continues, India will beat up China by 2025 A.D., making India the most populous nation in the world. In 2025 A.D, India will have 1591 million people and China 1554 million people.

Only five countries in the world - China, USA, Brazil, Indonesia, and

Contd...

Only five countries in the world - China, USA, Brazil, Indonesia, and United USSR have more population than Uttar Pradesh (145 million), which is one of the 28 states in India.

The total population of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu was 55.6 million as of 1991. About 4,478,000 people die every year in Tamil Nadu, or to put it another way, 1,227 people pass every day into eternity without knowing Christ.

Every year the total Population of Australia, is added to the population of India.

One out of every seven people in the world lives in India. So if India, which is open for the gospel, is reached, then every seventh person in the world will be reached.

More people live in India than all the people living in North America, South America, and Australia put together.

The death rate in India is 8.39 million per year. This means that 23,000 people everyday, 958 people every hour, or 16 people every minute,

My Humble Request!!
by Contractor on Jan 03, 2008 01:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

My Dear Friends,
Its my request to all Indian brothers and sisters. We should come out of our biasness towards any region, religion, caste, color and other such stuff which has given us nothing but hatredness towards each other.. Today Indians are growing leap and bounds and we need to work for india and not for any religion or society. Stupid things like Hindu-Muslim controversy, Reservation, North-South-East-West... etc has moved us away from our path. You people are reading which shows you all are educated enough. I request all of you to instanciate reforms from your side. Government will do as per our deeds. Its we who have to change first rather than changing government. Dont believe on those who speaks against any region or who promises you for your society. They have nothing to do for your society(except a few). But its hard to find them. Work for yourself and for Nation... and lets show the world what we are and what we can do...

Universal God
by oldruff on Jan 03, 2008 01:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

God is the same , irrespective of the religion. This will be vouched for by all the learned and wise people across religions. Man, in his own selfishness and self interest has and is creating this chasm and foolish people masquerading as priests, religious leaders, mullahs, missionaries are continuing this under the name of religion since they have not understood or misinterpreted the holy quran or Bible or the Gita.

Oldruff, no one has misinterpreted the Gita. The gita says all religions are equal and many paths lead to god, which is why hindus are tolerant of other faiths. It is the quran and the bible that teach that are communal. Quran says islam is, and bible says christianity is, the one true religion and all other religions are false.

I never understood the fad of Hindus visiting temples
by True Indian on Jan 03, 2008 12:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I mean in every hindu scripture says it is not necessary to go to temple to worship gods. But people still do. Unfortunately most of these temples are managed by money hungry, discriminating people who never care to improve facilities for common people. People are ready to donate crores for temples but not a paisa for orphanages.

If this matters to you, I was born a Hindu, have read vedas and still a proud hindu (unless if you classify all non-temple-going people as atheists/communists)

Stampede
by kandukuri vijay on Jan 03, 2008 12:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is purely a govt failure to control the crowd.,The arragements by govt during puskarams(during TDPs period)was really good..The temple at vijawada is a small one-built wise and the controlling people would be a easier task give the size of the people who have come yesterday. The startergy of building up the masses in waiting-even at tirupati and making people to rush inn should be condemned and avoided.-Hope some one from the govt does rectify this..even today if you can shell some extra money the temple staff at tirupathi would organize a super fast darshan ,immediately..Let us hope some day this kind of curruption is curtailed in the country. And hopefully this would begin with AP -the most organized currupt state in the country.

Goverments mishandling
by krishna patibandla on Jan 03, 2008 12:01 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Taking the control of all profitable temples, Goverment is Dictating the HINDU religion, but doing nothing to improve it. If there are left to Trusts, local bodies, the temples' conditions could have been better and the religion could have been better. The lot of bureacracy in temples is damaging to the faith.
