Mr. Dhruv, I would advise you to research some of histories worst atrocities against people, and use them when in conversations. The worst to date is the torture and slaughter of about 9 million women and children in the name of witchcraft, this was done in Europe, research it, you will be appalled.

He is right, Gandhi understood that Indians are not capable enough to fight against superior British army and apart from that there are many divisions in the society and petty differences which doesn't allow them to fight together. Apart from that he also realised that millions will be killed if Indians fight with the britishers.

Mayank,
You are portraying Gandhi as an elected leader of the people who is responsible for their lives!
Please show some or any evidence where it shows Gandhi as an elected official.
Gandhi was a baniya who felt humiliated by the treatment he got in South Africa even after studying to be a barrister at law.
All he did was stand up to a ticket collector on a train ride. BFD!
The real tragedy is that the Indian people fell for this gimmick and were fooled into thinking that he was the answer to their prayers!
Gandhi was not obliged to take up the leadership of the freedom movement. If that was the case, then all baniyas like you would have been government babus post-independence instead of the pee-mps your are now!!

RE:RE:India abroad

Shaheed bhai..lalu is one of the most shrewd politicians in the entire country. He knows what he is doing. He played with Bihar because he did not care less. For the Railways, he is just reaping the benefits from the seens sown by Nitish Kumar (Rly minister before him). Plus he wants to be PM in the future. So these are all his gimmicks. Railways might be in profits because lalu wants it to so that he can get more vote banks. In Bihar, he did not need to prove anything to win votes for a long time until people finally realized and kicked him out.

Bihar is facing the same in India what India is facing on the world level. Ignorance. Wrong impression.
We all are well educated and earning. Let us decide to do something monetarily or otherwise for the underprivileged ones. We can start with our office. I can suggest a few ideas.
1. Let us create washrooms in government schools. 2. Let us arrange drinking water for poor. 3. Let us visit an orphanage, talk to the people there and find out how we can help them. 4. Let us create awareness among people about health and education. 5. Let us donate blood or better organize a blood donation camp in our office. 6. Let us stand against all evils. 7. Let us keep our country clean. 8. Let us follow traffic rules. 9. Let us not divide or let anybody else divide the country on the basis of caste, creed, religion or region. 10. Let us contribute towards making India a better place to live.
You all can contribute towards the society and I am not joking.

At 10 million jobs per year it will take us 30 years to remove unemployment, at 5 million jobs for year it will take us 60 years! The present Indian %u2018mind set%u2019 will require rethinking and reorganization of the existing perceptions about Public Sector enterprises, and the actual role they are supposed to play! Only efficient organizations can deliver results and growth. Only better governance and efficient administration can deliver results!

Tell me, how much do our school going kids know about US or Canada or UK ? Or even many adults ? And you expect someone in the corner of world know all about India ? They are developed countries busy being lazy now. So there is no need for them to develop further. They enjoy their life. We are picking up the momentum only now and need to know everything around the world with our horns like radars open to receive all information from nook and corner. Let me tell you, we Indians are doing too much of struggle to develop ourselves unlike anyone else across the globe.

any idea when India going to be placed in top 20 listing?
India is fully democratic to permit violence, crime, nepotism, corruption and any harm to any one freely, perhaps in literal meaning of Independence! Credit goes to the system of democracy as it stands at current situation! Failure to fire the "course correction rockets" at the appropriate times by the politicians and beaurocrats resulted in the drift of democratic principles due to fast moving times! Though such a drastic situation, not only continues uninterrupted appropriately, but also accelerates to go off from the intended course of progress! Vested interests navigate the system to their selfish benefits crippling lives of large majority of the country men leading to total anarchy and chaos in the nation! The rulers 'play violin when nation is in flames'! Nation is entirely breaking! The so called enlightened and elite do contribute their might either by amassing benefits by any means or by just remaining silent spectators! The ones at the realms of the affairs of nation manage to keep the brilliant off from affairs of nation! Many other so called elites suffer from brain drain! Where is our nation leading to is to be decided by large number of the people of the country, before it is too late as time is running out!

bombay this is for you. think on this
In 2001 our birth rate was nearly 3 times more than China. 27 births per 1000 as against 8.8 for China! India is adding 18 million people per year, against 9 million per year in China. Total addition to population is a function of total births minus total deaths.

A man and his wife were in a court for their divorce case.
The Problem was who should get custody of the child. The wife screamed and jumped up and said: "Your Honor. I brought The child into the world with all the pain and labour.
The child should be in my custody. "
The judge turned to the husband and said: "What do you have to Say in your defense?"
The man sat for a while contemplating. ..then slowly rose. "Your Honor... If I put a dollar in a Pepsi Vending Machine and a Pepsi Comes out...
But Mr Pranav, that's India. The article is wonderful in its content in the way it was presented. There have been misconceptions about our beloved country for a very long time, which are really going to stay for some more time but never mind. Remember, even Columbus got it all confused with the american continent with our own India, his original intention !. It is going to take to take some more time I am sure, but eventually India is going to lead the whole world with its own time-lasting principles of non-violence, tolerance towards diversity and many other unique virtues. Just sit tight, the toilet problems will be over, hopefully, soon. Ramasubbu.
The pseudo seculars who rule by vote banks and don't care about the poor in India.
Why should I spend my time fixing it. I'm not an MLA or Ambani. They are busy bidding players in the IPL auction. Why the phuck do I have to listen to the lectures here of FOOLS. If you want to fix India, then do it yourself or ask Ambani to do it. Don't lecture others. I'm certainly not going to do this.
