He comes across as a fresh fragrance. No baggage unlike Hillary. US today needs someone to think out of the box and some one not with preconcieved ideas. Hillary is one of those who has been gromed within that system. Imsure Obama too is similar to an extent, but in my opinion needs the chance for that change. He might have ideas of against out sourcing, so what India wont need to beg if we dont get them. Their economy is crumbling and will need to do everthing that a nation. We would have done the same in their position. So look beyond a couple of 1000 jobs that may not come our way. What Im interested in his take on the nuclear deal, will he offer us a better or scrap the present one. Us knows they will never find a better or reliable partner for their own economy growth and need to trust us than they do. But with mutual interest not one with bullying.

Nice comments dude. But I think this nuclear deal will be sealed before that. The way the UPA govt is playing it - they will delay it till the end of this year and general elections are anyways next year. before the year is out they will sign the nuclear deal and then let the CPM pull out. Then the UPA guys will tom tom the fact that they did it for the nation and use it as a plank for the next polls. What do you think ?

Terrorism ? Who can contain self created terrorists - think about it - who created the so called monsters Saddam and Bin Laden ? When their shelf life was up they were branded terrorists, huh ? Watch the documentary - 9/11 Loose Change - a lot of facts will be explained in it.Its available free on youtube. brilliant documentary.
Obama represents the American dream ,a land of freedom and constant progress . I believe he will energize the American public and strengthen America's international tie ups just the way Bill clinton did. Hillary by contrast believes this is a job that belongs to her, like she is the only one authorized to have that post.Obama's stands on Immigrant rights is more clear than that of hillary, it is highly deplorable that people who are law abiding and highly educated should wait for years on an immigrant petition.
People easily forget that Hillar and Mcain both voted for a war which too lives of innocent 4000 young men and women and millions of Iraqis.. Yes we want a person to be less experienced in War..
We want a person which does not make a Immigration issue like a Monday night football..
The politics in US is become so low that a rational person IS NOT EXPECTED TO LEAD A PRESIDENTS ROLE.. Yak...
There are 300 million people in US with 300 million opinions and NONE OF THE CANDIDATE CAN SATIFY EVERYBODY..
Hillary and Mcaine both are the part of the establishment which needs to be knocked off and Obama is people's mandate to take back the Presidency...
Yes an inexperience candidate is the only chance to give us a FRESH START.. After all the people who designed the Constituion did not had any experience but good Intent. And that's eaxctly what we need..
Fantastic article. Obama is indeed all talk and no action. But the US elected JFK on the same basis and he was probably younger than Obama is today. Americans feel the need for a drastic change and what is more drastic than a young, inexperienced, African American president? Its almost as if people want the opposite of what they currently have.
If Obama wins the Democratic ticket(I think the writer is wrong about Gore stepping in), he and McCain have a good fight ahead. McCain's age is big factor but he is very sensible and mature.

is destroying christianity such a bad idea? werent christians responsible for completely subverting indian culture, traditions, science and industry in 200 years? something which didnt happen even under 800 years of "mohammedan" domination?if obama can pulverise christianity he has my vote!
What is with this "Mohammedden" term?, the more commonly used world-wide term is Muslim. Its hard not to remember Rajeev; not for his mediocre writing, but for earlier Muslim bashing articles. Typical RSS bull.
Coming to Obama race is almost a non-issue, US in its collective conscience has sought to move from the segregationist past and Obama's winning in Fall might just be the emphatic proof that US denounces prejudice. In fact, Obama's biggest supporters have been young white populace. True, there might be some who have indifferent views on race but they are a shrinking minority. Its only in the rest-of-world media that Obama being black is a big deal, maybe for color obsessed Indians he is black, but many sincere Americans don't see him along those lines.
Rajeev cites curiosity as being the main factor Obama has been able to win. Nothing could be further from the truth. Last summer, in one Pennsylvanian village, I saw a middle aged white guy had a handwritten placard, which said "Obama 2008. Obama the voice of reason". At that time, Obama was nobody, but he had already found a unlikely supporter base - white country-side folks. Most of his wins have been in rural white states. The reason is lot of people in US take their civic duties in a democracy seriously than in other parts of the world and they respond to someone who they see as honest and likable.

Oddball RSS sympathisers' pretensions of siding with Republicanism in America is an example of me-tooism, which is hardly noticed by the intended beneficiaries of such me-tooism themselves (Republicans). In fact the uncouth ideology of RSS (fascist/ religious rightwing/ extremist) is the anti-thesis of Republicanism. Republicans have an in-born hatred for Fascism and its various forms, including the sectarianism which is dear to RSS.
Rajeev and his type are trying to find common ground with Republicans because the acts of Republicans (like the war) are seem to be bringing misery to Muslim populations, a prospect which is heart-warming to the religious right-wingers of RSS.
Religious extremist like rajeev do not realise that at the roots of America's misadventure in the Middle East lies economic reasons and not religion (Christianity). Even granting that Republicans are religiously inspired (e.g Evangelists), how can a group that cannot hide its inferiority complex vis-a-vis Christians (read the violent denouncing of Christians in Rajeev's blog) align with Christian fundementalists?
The pretensions of small time extremists like Rajeev are amusing, to say the least.

Continuation from the previous message....
With regard to him being all talk, yesterday on the debate he refuted that notion by saying that speeches by politicians are intended to raise people's enthusiasm for politics and to mobilize them rather than trick them. Through speeches he wants people to pay attention to politics in Washington and thats a perfectly reasonable and sensible answer. If only all politicians sound that sensible people won't be disgusted as they are now with politics.
The reason I titled my post as right winger's take is because, Indians settled in US and also affiliated with RSS (like Mr.Rajeev with his Mohammedden terminology) tend to support the war mongering republicans and in the process derive a sadistic pleasure from seeing the devastating war in middle eastern countries.
