NEED OF THE TIME...!!!
by Mahendra Barde on Feb 26, 2008 04:53 AM  Permalink

It would be very prudent to get a factual report from every MP on what actually he contributed and an Audit from the Independent Third Party System as to what really done by him and have benefited the nation and general public.
If such riders be applied, existing and the new ones shall also start performing with responsibility and contributing. This shall help eliminate dirt from the politicization of Indian Governance. Top line and bottom line growth of Indian socio-economics shall change faster than before. This is a must, and essentially the need of the time.

No Delay
by gvskiran on Feb 25, 2008 11:50 PM  Permalink

Our politicians will never delay on these elections as they are money making for them. They don't remember their duties once they are in power, they only know how to use the power for their benfits and leave the general public to themselves. We all encougae this sort saying we have no time for this as we are all busy with our schedule.

Preferential Votes in RS Elections
by Lalatendu Deo on Feb 25, 2008 11:34 PM  Permalink

Elections to Rajya Sabha some times come as surprise. The way votes are casted and the importance for second, third and forth preference votes are equally important.

Many a members have been elected by the virtue of these Votes. One of the controversial election was that of Dilip Ray from Orissa. He was elected 6 years back by successfully engineering these lesser preferential votes from BJD, BJP and Congress Parties, defeating candidates of these parties !!! Of Course, he managed it by spending a hefty amount. But this interesting part of the election process had been very much over looked in the past.

Let us see as to how these Votes are doing this time around.

Rajya Sabha Seats
by RS CHAUDHRY on Feb 25, 2008 09:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The results of these elections are foregone conclusions based on numerical strength of parties and deadwood elements of these parties would find entry in the august House ,which is a slur on democracy.

RE:Rajya Sabha Seats

All those useless lEADERS who get defeated in Lok Sabha Elections and who have done enough Chamchagiri/Services for their "Supreme" Leader
will get nominated to Rajya Sabha and become Ministers! It is better to abolish this House!
The purpose of this House was supposed to be to act as ELDERS/WATCHDOGS for the Rowdy LokSabha!! OUR Politicians can reduce any good system to the Gutter Level!!

Rajya Sabha
by hosur ramakrishna on Feb 25, 2008 09:35 PM  Permalink

Sir
since candidates to the upper house cannot elected from Karnataka we hope the policitcal parties will nominate candidates from Karnataka from other states. This has been done in Karnataka by nominating candidates from Andhra and Tamilnadu who would not have got elected from those states

Rakhi Sawant & Mallika Sherawat will soon be in Rajya Sabha
by Fatema Begum on Feb 25, 2008 09:10 PM  Permalink

Our politicians and industrialists will enjoy both of them. After that, they will join Rajya Sabha and even campaign for BJP in a very religious manner. Actress Vyjayantimala gave big hard ons in Bollywood and then entertained politicians like former President Venkatraman when she was in Rajya Sabha. Don't forget.
