If N-deal is signed by MMSingh and they withdraw support, then they cannot stop the deal.
Actually Communists are playing a false drama. Basically pure honey-sucking Honeymoon is going on.

To Time The Election
by Lalatendu Deo on Feb 25, 2008 11:56 PM  Permalink

Left have earlier been threatening the UPA Government. Only some of the times the Government have conceded the Demands of the Left. The Congress have heeded to such demands from other parties as well.

But certainly, by showing to outside world that the government was listening to these demands, and painting them as wholly unjust, the government is cleverly steering through these road blocks.

Signing the Document is considered to be helping the Congress Party in the next Elections. And the same is believed to be murdering the prospects of the Left parties in general. BJP is opposing to it because their advantages would also reduced to a great extent if the deal is signed before the Election. It is needless to say that BJP will surely be signing the deal if it is not signed by the present government, anyway.

By demanding certain thing such as these cripple the functioning of the government, which in turn would narrow down the prospects of these parties themselves, in the elections. At least it is considered so.

It is a fact that the Congress government is proceeding with caution with the N-Deal. And it is also waiting for the opportune moment to sign the deal. This will enable them to get themselves prepared for the impending election which by any means is not very far.

Stand up to the Left front !

American soldier posted in Greenland in a letter to his pal. 'Had a great day. Shot a polar bear and spend the night with the most beautiful girl I met at the night club.'
Next letter , two weeks latter ' Still in the hospital and still itching. The Doc says I should have shot the girl and the spend the night with the bear!'
Just another cliche joke but may be it should give a direction to the UPA . Dump the left and sign the N-Deal.
It is very doubtful that the CPM led left front will be find it political ok to pull down an anti BJP government and then face elections. The whole issue is mere posturing and an attempt by Karat & Co to keep the UPA government on tenderhooks.
The Congress of course must consider its need to be in power but by no chance is that more important than the immediate need for nuclear power to keep our development going !
Caving into the lefts demand to drop the deal because of the fact that it does not fall in line with their idelogical stance would not be justified .

Karat and company are the biggest cheats and double standard ass's. they are paid by china to keep the deal from signing as then india gets cheap power & our manufacturing costs go down.........that is a big threat to china as we compete with them on almost all items.

this is a very big game and the country is suffering and these communists are nothing but chinese agents here......HANG THEM.

This is not about American evangelist or Iranian mullahs.
It's about development for India - it has shown there are Indian commies who will fight against Indian development. Maybe for them Indian are better suited to grow rice and wheat for Chinese people and we do not deserve to progress, have good jobs and standard of living comparable to the west.

Somethings are worth losing election...
by imran patel on Feb 25, 2008 10:05 PM  Permalink

This is a great opportunity for our PM to stand up. There are certain things that are more important than winning elections. And this Nuclear deal is surely one of them.

The PM needs to draw a line in the sand. Layout the benefits of the Nuclear deal. He needs to start talking with the Indian public. He needs to have a dialogue with the Indian Public. This is a cause that requires the PM to have a "Rath-Yatra".

He needs to make his case in front on the people of this Nation.

The benefits of this deal outway any downside. No other party will oppose this deal if the Indian people feel comfortable about it. The PM needs to close the communition GAP within the Indian People.

He is a honest man. People may think he is not a "Leader", but they do not doubt his credibility or his honesty.

The big hurdle in this deal in COMMUNICATION.

The LEFT or the BJP will be doomed if they oppose this deal.

Dear Mr. Manmohan,
Do not take advise from the Congress-Loyatist. There are times when you have to put your country before your party.

Your stand on this Nuclear issue should silence your critics who doubt your leadership skills.

Start a month long program to sell this to the Indian Public. Choose people that you trust to be your spokesperson. Give interviews. Have debates with these Anti-Trade/Communist pin-heads.

This is an opportunity for you to shine and make good on your promices.

Communication is the KEY.
