Not only MNCs but other state investors/businessmen will think before coming to Maharashtra. Labour force required to run these industries have already started. Let Marathi people say whatever they want to say but it will happen. I am a highly skilled professional and I have started rejecting any call from Maharashtra. I hope they will find marathi to do all jobs.
There were two villages. Village M and UB. Village M was well managed and well behaved. They had good population control measures. They didn't mind welcoming villagers coming. Village UB was opposite. Village sarpanch himself had 9 children. So village UB had population explosion. People didn't have food to eat but still people didn't mind having 9 children. They will elect corrupt politicians and will fight among themselves for petty caste politics. Village M had good economy and workers were well paid. Now village UB workers started outpouring village M. They were ready to work at very low wages. So village M worker's wages started going down. Many got unemployed. UB workers brought with themselves all their bad social habits. They were reluctant to learn language of village M. Soon they had enough population to matter in village elections. So village UB leaders started making base in village M. Village M people could now see their dark future. Now what should M villages should do. Tell me...
This is a failure of the State Govt that has serious future implications for the integrity of India. Deshmukhs Govt failed in implementing Law&Order in Maharashtra that resulted in thousands were subjected to violence and forcibly driven out of the state.
You can not drive out Indias citizens from one place just to provide employment to locals.
This has serious implications to the Federal nature of India.
Now watch what happens!
A few select Maharastrians would be culled in UP, Bihar, and in Delhi. And just to appease the locals on whose vote the likes of Mayawati and Mulayams bank on will keep quiet and the let the violence go on. The Union Govt can not act as in the previous case they didnot act on Vilasrao Deshmukhs Govt. Other states watch this and also start resorting to these selective methods of separation.
Regarding Amitabh Bachhan Ganga Kinarewala, what is wrong in it?
He just lives in Mumbai and Maharastrians in no way responsible for his stardom as his movies have a pan-Indian appeal.
All those intellectuals who are keeping quiet should be ashamed of themselves.
But before you do first arrest Abu Azmi and put him behind the bars. As for Mumbai DGP Samra said Abu Azmis role in Mumbai bomb blasts is very clear. If those migrated from UP & BIhar are resorting to violence and unlawful activities start legal proceedings on all of them. When you dont do that actions like Raj Thackeray will start. Now Bal Thackeray afraid of losing Maharashtrian

MUMBAI: The Maharashtra government is planning to implement the mass marriage scheme, launched in Vidarbha region to help debt-ridden farmers marry off their daughters, all over the state.
"Going by the good response the scheme has received in Vidarbha, we are planning to take it to rest of the state," Women and Child Development Minister Harshwardhan Patil said.
The scheme, under which over 16,000 marriages have taken place, was introduced as part of government's relief package to six districts in the cotton belt which have witnessed a large number of suicide by farmers.
It was launched in February last year and provides for a subsidy by the state to the tune of Rs 11,000 per marriage, the Minister said.
It stipulates that a minimum of 10 couples should wed during a mass marriage ceremony. Marriage registration certificates are provided to such couple immediately after the wedding by the authorities in every district.
The government has so far made a provision of Rs 24 crore for the scheme, Patil said adding of this, Rs 16 crore had already been spent.
In order to encourage voluntary organisations to come forward in arranging mass marriages, the government gives them Rs 1,000 per couple to meet related expenses, he added.
I am from Kerala, not a marathi or a bhaiyya, so I can be unbiased here. I lived in Bombay for two years in the late 90s. And here're my observations:
1. The contribution of Marathis to the development of Bombay is miniscule, other than naming all buildings in Bombay as Shivaji. Bollywood is primarily punjabi. Business is primarily Gujju/Marwari/Kannadiga. Software/IT dominated by southerners. Most of the restarants are either punjsbi or udupi. The Marathis are found in givernments jobs. In fact my only interaction with Marathis were with bus conductors and the house-maid.
2. The bhaiyyas make 90% os the slum population in India. There live in shanty homes in the most unhygienic conditions. Moring office commuters have to see thier unhygienic actions enriute to thier office everyday. International visitors see this too. During rains all this filth make s Bombay one big filty pond.
To conclude, I agree with Raj. He is not against immigrants who have a good job and live in respectable conditions. He is against Bombay being flooded wit relatives of Lalu and Mulayam who bring unhygiene, filth and crime to Bombay
