The son of soil theory is against the very concept of India.
by Tom on Feb 24, 2008 09:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Raj says "We are not against the common man or the migrant workers from UP and Bihar. If somebody changes according to the house of the host (Maharashtra), he is welcome, but if somebody wants to change the host's home by dadagiri (force), we will never tolerate it,"

What he is saying is nothing but DADAGIRI. Maharashtra is as much home of a guy from UP or Bihar, who is settled there, as a local guy. And he is free to celebrate any festival, follow any religion, culture and speak any language he wishes. The son of soil theory is against the very concept of India.

Raj Thakre! Think of India
by satish kaushik on Feb 24, 2008 09:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Thakre, dont divide people. It amounts to dividing India.Maharashtra is not only yours n your party's..it belongs to all indians. All indians including Maharastrians have sacrified to get freedom for this country.Remember leaders like S Bhagat Singh,Veer Savarkar,Gokhle etc.Today your sons of soil are only Maharashtrians as it suits you.Tomorrow it may be people of Mumbai only..and you may not like to see people from other parts of Maharashtra in "your Mumbai".
Where is the end?Dont play with fire.Stop preaching hatred.

Last paragraph has suitably been changed by so called Maanus Raj T. It is srange now he is not against poor people from Bihar and UP.
It is true colour of a chamelion politician ! But Raj T cannot fool everytime by changing statements. I didn't say this or that.
This is just because of sheer opportunistic politics as he has sensed the outcome of judiciary. So this new tune.
If his stance was so, why this poor beating in the first place ?
He is coward too.

PUNE - If you live in these areas, beware!
by fire desire on Feb 24, 2008 09:05 PM  Permalink

PUNE: Citizens better watch out, particularly if you live any of the 18 localities which has been identified by the city crime branch as %u2018most prone%u2019 to house break-ins and thefts (HBTs).

An analysis of 2,300 HBTs reported in 2007 by the crime branch has revealed that it is not just the fringe areas, such as Chinchwad village, Nigdi, New Sangvi, Dhankawadi and Mithanagar, but upmarket areas like Shivajinagar, are also prone to house break-ins. These are the localities that figure prominently in the list prepared by the crime branch.

Other areas include Pimpri-Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNTDA), Bhosari, Hadapsar, Wanowrie, Old Sangvi, Kalewadi, Aundh, Yerawada, Bibvewadi, Tingrenagar and Kondhwa.

In fact, Chinchwad village, Nigdi, PCNTDA, Hadapsar and Wanowrie had reported over 20 HBTs each in 2007.

The remaining localities saw between 90 to 110 cases of thefts and house break-ins last year. There are 50 more areas, such as Sadashiv Peth, Nana Peth, F.C. road, Prabhat road, J.M. road, Sinhagad road, Maharshinagar and Handewadi, among others, which reported between 50 to 100 HBTs in 2007.

The common modus operandi employed by thieves was breaking locks or cutting window grills to enter the house.

Other methods deployed were breaking door latch, use of duplicate keys to open locks and driving holes in the walls of jewellery shops.
