Time to seek independence for Maharashtra
by on Feb 24, 2008 10:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If I have to learn hindi, and if to show my indianness, I have to accept north indian domination, to hell with india. Time to seek independance! Enough is enough! mumbai will collapse when these bhaiyas leave, blah blah...., it's okay with us. we will learn to leave with it. To us everyone is maharashtrian who irrepective of their mother tongue and keeping their own identity, accepts and respects marathi and local culture.

PUNE - If you live in these areas, beware!
by fire desire on Feb 24, 2008 10:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

PUNE: Citizens better watch out, particularly if you live any of the 18 localities which has been identified by the city crime branch as %u2018most prone%u2019 to house break-ins and thefts (HBTs).

An analysis of 2,300 HBTs reported in 2007 by the crime branch has revealed that it is not just the fringe areas, such as Chinchwad village, Nigdi, New Sangvi, Dhankawadi and Mithanagar, but upmarket areas like Shivajinagar, are also prone to house break-ins. These are the localities that figure prominently in the list prepared by the crime branch.

Other areas include Pimpri-Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNTDA), Bhosari, Hadapsar, Wanowrie, Old Sangvi, Kalewadi, Aundh, Yerawada, Bibvewadi, Tingrenagar and Kondhwa.

In fact, Chinchwad village, Nigdi, PCNTDA, Hadapsar and Wanowrie had reported over 20 HBTs each in 2007.

The remaining localities saw between 90 to 110 cases of thefts and house break-ins last year. There are 50 more areas, such as Sadashiv Peth, Nana Peth, F.C. road, Prabhat road, J.M. road, Sinhagad road, Maharshinagar and Handewadi, among others, which reported between 50 to 100 HBTs in 2007.

The common modus operandi employed by thieves was breaking locks or cutting window grills to enter the house.

Other methods deployed were breaking door latch, use of duplicate keys to open locks and driving holes in the walls of jewellery shops.

RE:Mission to occupy!
by amai tomodachi on Feb 24, 2008 10:22 PM  Permalink
I just heard a few days back that in Australia, some people beat Indian students..they didn't see if those were elite maharashtrians or Hyderabadi. Sad to see your comment mate because rather then isolating these Gutter-politicians we contribute to their evil designs. What binds India is its cultural unity. The fanaticism on the name of language / caste / region / religion gives politicians an opportunity to divide.

Manoj Pandey who fought in Kargil against Pakistanis was from Lucknow, a brahmin and a UPite. And he never thought that he will be looked upon with this identity.

It is said that UP and Bihar has been one of the worst affected state by the gutter politics in India and that resulted in its abject poverty. But politicians are doing it all over the country. How soon you forgot that the same thakrey's was once against South Indians in Bombay in 60-70's and called them traiters for not accepting hindi. Balasaheb thakrey started his politics on the hate campaign against SouthIndians...now their target is UPites, Biharis.
And mind you, in US and UK, Indians from Andhra Pradesh are also seen like UP and Biharis. So you are just being hypocritic. If AndhraPradesh is made separate country, do you think you will not fight with people from telangana region...I bet you will never end this approach not with your immediate neighbours.

Economic disparity leads to mass migartion
FDI rtnking:
1. Gujarat. 2. Maharashtra 3. Tamil Nadu 4. Andhra Pradesh.

Zero FDI in Bihar and UP for 07.

Intellectuals should ask why the climate in Bihar and Up is not conducive for FDI. We have an Economist puppet as our PM.

We have some great leaders like Ms. Mayawati, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mr. Amar Singh, etc in UP and Mr. Lalloo Prasad Yadav, Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan, etc in Bihar. So the businessmen are scared of setting up any new ventures in those states! And of course the previous Congress dispensations of the likes of Mr. Jagnnath Mishra, etc have done their level best!!!!Otherwise a State like Bihar rich in minerals should not have been lagging behind other states!!!!!!!!!!

Maharashtra indirectly flourishes because of Bihar. Mumbai's life line Rly run on stone ballast supplied from Bihar.Electricity supllied from Nuclear Plants depends on Uranium of Bihar. Copper made high tension electrical wire comes from Bihar. Hence dont ignore the contribution of Bihar.
