This will be good for cricket!
by zindaa hoon on Feb 24, 2008 12:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If Raj Thakerey movement continues like this, India will disintegrate in no more than 10 years. But that will be good for the cricket in this region. Lots of new teams and new players will emerge. Right now everyone accuses the selectors of regional bias. With a disintegrated India, the selectors will be local and regional bias will be gone. In any case, it is easier to make a good cricket team with a smaller population rather than with a large population. Look at the teams of Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan etc. which have been quite good in not too distant past. All these nations have much smaller population than India.

The upper caste North Indian should be ashamed of themselves?
by snpost on Feb 24, 2008 12:01 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The North Indian has perfection racism and given it a more acceptable name called casteism.
The irony is that they have enslaved their own people, and through generation of enslavement %u2013 the Northern Indian has developed an inferiority mentality.
Now %u2013 most of the North Indian is seen by most other Indian as backward people- who are to blame?
When the rich/upper-class North Indian, see a poor North Indian %u2013 he does not have or show any respect toward them either.
The caste system needs to be dealt with in UP/Bihar, and Bihari/Upites should help themselves first by getting their house in order.

This is again a rumour. Fact is that casteism exists in AP, TN, KL and KA very strongly - as strongly (maybe more) as UP and BH. Even MH is not averse to casteism. How many marathi brahmins marry non-brahmins? So, mrpost, kindly keep your regionalist rant to yourself as caste has nothing to do with region. Besides, north India / south India are very large areas - too large to generalise anything about the whole area.

Kaushik Das have some shame. UP and Bihar is 1000 times more castiest than Maharashtra and South India. In UP and Bihar if someone asks a persons' name he tells his caste. Keep denying this fact and keep rotting in UP and Bihar. Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab and Assam has bailed you castiest out in the past, not any more.

Media is focusing too much on this MNS guy.
These kind of election stunts must be ignored by media as well as general public.

Mere Jeevan Saathee
by zindaa hoon on Feb 23, 2008 11:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Marathi culture can be summarized thus:

Yeh hain mere jeevan saathee
Dhoti, Lota, aur Chowpatty!

Go to any chawl in Mumbai, you will find marathi guys wearing Dhoti, with a lota in their hands, running fast towards the nearest toilet, to attend the call of the nature.
Go to any small coastal town of Maharashtra (say Dahanu/Bordi), and you will see locals defecating in the chowpatty. After that who wants to take a dip in that beach?

Zinda hai ya nahi magar Dhoti lota chowpati was for all the Bhayas of mumbai in madan choti movie, And as regard attending nature s call even 95% of India goes to the nearest toilet with a lota in their hands.Even in UP or Bihar or also its not chowpaty but Khetkaliyan.
And all people come and have a dip in the chowpaty and including you if you have been to MUMBAI
Stop your hatred for regionalistic attitude be an INDIAN first.
and Say I AM PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN
