The expectations from these elections - words of Ardeshir Cowasjee...
by Demo-crazy on Feb 22, 2008 06:08 PM  Permalink

These words show the despair of a learned man, in Dawn Newspaper, on the occasion of the elections - "So grim is the outlook that it is difficult to know what to write when beset with pessimism and uncertainty as to the future. What we can be certain of is that we are looking at nothing new, those old, tried and tired faces will be back with us, bolstered by brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, nephews-in-law, second cousins, mothers-in-law and bounty hunters. The old lot is highly adept at ridding the Republic of its surplus assets and no doubt the bounty hunters will soon latch on to the various known ways and means of supplementing their already hefty incomes."
------------------------------------------------
The picture he paints of Pakistan post these elections is not too bright.

At the same time, these words could even reflect the situation in India too. Fortuantely, we have had development due to grit and determination of private enterprise, inspite of the hurdles of poor governance, lack of reforms, and the failure of government to cut down its wasteful expenditure.

Blaming US for any thing and every thing
by Mo Pirate on Feb 22, 2008 02:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Arab Muslims and their followers in Asia found and easy way to escape from their own wrong doings. Blame it on US and Israel. For anything and everything they will blame US and Israel. They even blamed US for Pakistani earth quakes. The Arab and their slave scientist discovered the earth quake as the result of US bombing in Afghanistan.

Despite all these you will find long lines in front of Evil US embassies all over the Muslim world for the Visa to evil US.

This is called Hypocrisy.

US is interfering Arab politics only because of Oil. If Arab countries fight each other like Iran and Iraq there will be shortage of oil supply and that is the only concern for US. They don't have any love or hate for Muslims.

The day scientists find an alternate energy source for oil US will forget the middle east and the Arabs can fight each other and become martyrs.

Nothing is free in this world
by Mo Pirate on Feb 22, 2008 01:48 PM  Permalink

Here I can see people supporting Russia and bashing USA.

If Russia is supplying Fighter planes and Naval ships they are selling it at a competitive price. India have fighter planes from France and England also. Israel is more than happy to supply their fighter jets.Israeli fighter jets are better than the Russian ones in terms of avionic technology and on board electronics.India is going to get US F15s soon. No body is doing Indians any favor. We are purchasing military equipments at international market prices. They have to sell these weapons for the survival of their own industry.

There are no permanent allies or enemies for any country in this world.

Each nation have to continuously assess their enemies and friends and redraw the alliances as per the changing strategic, political, economical and other factors.

Us Manipulations of MLQ Mqmto be thrust on PPP in Central Govt.

Pkl. Afternoon,1.30pm, Friday ,22nd Feb,2008
Nothing reveals the presence of US hand in thrusting Central coalition of groups of newly elected MPS of parties like MQM and MLQ on PPP to sideline Newaz's role in Pakistani new government. This really shows how what sort of deadly fornication of democracy is proposed by strategists at Pentagon in USA to bugger unfortunate masses of Pakistan to allow US to rape the virgin loins of Pakistanis remorselessly . This in order to buttress ,now, their longtime stooge and procurer Pervez Musharraf who has been styled as their frontline ally in its war on terror. The flunkey and liveried commando could help open up the loins of paki harlots for US troops for recreation and rest fighting deadly risky wars against Islamic Ummat. This unfortunate role has been played long by these shameless Faujies down the entire history of Pakistani dictatorships from Ayub , Yahiya down to Ziaul Haq in the past ,and now ,successfully by Musharraf for past 9 yrs. Wages of cohabiting with sin and deadly treachery to Pakistani Millat!D. Goel

President Bush's messy administration
by KSuresh Chander on Feb 22, 2008 01:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

President Bush will be remembered for his messy administration not only by Americans but all over the world. The decision of his and his cronies to go on war with Iraq has put lot of strain on the exchequer added by the sub prime lending. His days are numbered. He has one more agenda to ruin Pakistan which is already in shambles. He keeps on changing his stand on President Musharaff - first he refused to acknowledge him but later, for reasons best known to him and his cronies, started poking his dirty nose in to the internal affairs of Pakistan. According to me, the people of Pakistan are smart enough to choose what is best to them. Let President Bush devote his remaining days in office to concentrate on the affiars of US.

It should not be forgotten that the deterioriting law & order situation ,which made pakistan ,the world`s most vulnerable place to live is because of its own rulers and US is taking advantage of it . By consolidating its position in Pakistan it can use its influence in India ,Russia and Afghanistan. Forget about pakistan , even India has no dared to speak against US and instead it takes a middle path ,which is neither opposing nor supporting. This means that our leaders are distancing themselves from the issue or crises. It was only in those days ,when former Prime Minister of India ,Late Rajiv Gandhi used to crtisize US for its foreign policy to interfere in others internal affair. And for that US gifted us with the status of most unfavoured nation. US is keen on issues related to Asia and middle East ,whereas it hardly pays any attention towards growing atrocites and killing in African nations. Not only this , even UN has lost its importance and US is dictating it. The war in Iraq was completedly unwarranted and that is why many nations recalled their troops from Iraq. With US presence Iraqi people will hardly enjoy the test of democracy and peace. Another nation is Great Britain ,who is blindly supporting US .They don`t have their own views ,just to follow big -boss ,yes Sir ,you are always correct .This attitude has made Tony Blair`s popularity decreasing day by day in his remaining days in office.

Borthakur = Jheel meh rahkar Magar se bair mat le. Like it or not the US is the sole superpower. Even if for selfish reasons, it is better not to poke the bear unnecessarily and certainly not from an overdose of pompous morality.
