Is Jyoti basu too old for politics?
by R Bose on Feb 22, 2008 06:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is really funny....Jyoti Basu wishing to quit on 'health grounds'. West Bengal is sick, but not dead (yet). Though Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharya is doing his best to carry on Mr. Basu's legacy, he still needs Mr. Basu's guidance to finish Bengal for good. So keep going...Mr. Jyoti Basu. Don't give up ...yet!

Jyoti Basu

I lived in Bengal for several years when Jyoti Basu was the CM. He always did politics for the sake of doing politics and is a complete piece of shit. He did nothing for the State and took the State to dogs. He is the person solely responsible for the plight of the Bengalis in Bengal.

Give us options for leaders buddy!!! No one presently in Bengal...CPM won the votes for Buddha in the last poll....He is not like Basu or else he would not have tried to bring back Bengal in a better state...

I agree - completely. The problem is: the current CM is no less. I do not find a single act of his (Mr. Bhattacharya's) that he has undertaken for the sake of the State, going AGAINST his party or the CITU.

CITU is a strong front Mr Bose....So hasty action against them will create a huge problem in Bengal....I am sure it will come once people like Basu,Subrata go up!!

We should respect his age and wisdom
by kasi viswanadham on Feb 22, 2008 06:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Light comments apart, we should see the bright side of this great leader of Bengal and respect him for his age and wisdom. We have two spots on our land .. Kerala and Bengal to keep the communist spirit in action whereas others in remaining states are selling this 'RED BRAND' to survive in their respective places.

Wish him health and peaceful life.

Mr Jyothi Basu's health-quitting
by ravichandran subramanian on Feb 22, 2008 05:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At least he looks fitter than many active politicians and CMs in other parts of the country. If he does he may be taken as an example by others who just cant think, speak or walk properly due to old age.
