british are jealous of china, and every noe and then in sky news they tend to shoew rot about china, they claim that china is responsible for global warming, some time ago they showed(sky tv),that indian doctors trained in uk are going back to india and was performing skilled surgeries, and they are getting british patients, soon after this the govt passed a law that british pt will only be allowed to go outside britain for surgery in which the flight distance was less than 3 hours, this is just to stop the medical tourism in india

Well said. I am a reserach student in UK. I have scholorship for fees and living expense. But I have seen Indian students who studied here return to India , after spending 15 lakhs for fees and other expenses.

Others do all sort of part time job, stick to it even after studies, spoiling their career.... do job for 40 - 50 hrs per week to recover their fees...

Now they have broughta new law to extend the visa for two years after their studies in UK.... But this will be trap... u will be lost for two years if u dont get a good job here ....u will be fed up after doing two years part time jobs .... working in restaurants, shops, warehouses , with a masters degree in ur pocket !!!!!!!!

Its just business here ... UK Universities are just like self financing colleges in India. Even professors complain that University admn. are not interested in academics, but interested only in BUSINESS... attracting more international students ..... .

The syllabus for master degrees is utter waste. They run a series of lectures ( attnded by students from various courses ), exams questions are from the lecture hand outs only ( u dont have to refer to any books), most of the dgrees have 5 or 6 modules common and just one or two different modules...... no or minimum practicals !!! And finally u get a Master degree... and knowledge absolute zero !!!
So if u r really interested in studies and career, stay back in India. Dont fall into the trap of UK universities.

Reporter, what u have written is very true. This has been happening for last 5 years, have the numbers dwindled no, no point in writting this, there will still be many who would simply love to come here. The trap of 2 years is only for this purpose, so that the students now will come that they can work for 2 years and make up the losses !!!

Immigrants who want to become British and settle permanently in the UK will need to pass more tests to "prove their worth" to the country under new plans.

Some migrants may also have to pay into a fund towards public services and have a period of "probationary citizenship".

Ms Smith said migrants from outside the European Economic Area would be encouraged to "move on" through a system that leads to citizenship - or choose ultimately to leave the country.

The package of measures includes:

Raising visa fees for a special "transitional impact" fund

More English language testing ahead of nationality

Requirements to prove integration into communities

Increasing how long it takes to become British

The system could see migrants with children or elderly relatives expected to pay higher application fees.

A few days back I heard this on the local news, in California. The international angle is an additional dimension.
It's not a simple matter of "the British looted us", there are honest tax payers across the world and this certainly is not a very welcome trend. I always wondered why it was only in India that even a smallest rusted metal container left outside the home was invariably stolen, the habits have spread across cultures.. This certainly has the stamp of a desi network.

Well the Brits plundered themselves and neighbouring countries, then the middle east during crusades and then they plundered the earth during colonialism. Now what do you expect since they are back to their country?

This headline is definately lifted from some British source , Kind of implies as if India or China is involved in this robbery.
Why not put some more apt title such as "British theives selling stolen metal to India and China"

Good point. The stolen metal is first sold to local scrap dealers who melt it. Infact, buyers in India are not even remotely connected to the scam.
