You yourself are using an Operating system ie maybe Windows XP made by an US firm. They went to war in Iraq and now you turn back and see elections are being held in Gulf countries hitherto known only to Dictatorships.
To criticise US actions is simple, but the larger implications has to be seen.
US fought Soviet Union in Vietnam,in Afghanistan etc to defeat and to win over some crude idelogies smaller battles has to be won to win the larger war.
To win over certain dogmas such as Jihad and Communism certain actions are needed to be taken and I dont think so US is wrong.

We and china both were equal country in 1950 but the progress made by china in last 60 Yrs is awesome. I think we also need communal region in india for atleast 20 Yrs but not any present crook party like CPM, Maoists etc.

There are about 20 million Muslims in China and they are there since seventh century AD. Brush up your GK.

There are strict rules for population control in China. Nobody over there are allowed to have more than 2 children (correct me if I am wrong). Unlike a couple having 10 kids in India and each of them growing up to be mafias and bhais.

Dear Mr. Manish,
Your idea is good but little complicated.
For matter of fact, no country want to leave their satelites and other space vehical in outer sapce for the fear of lekage of know-how.
But at the same time, it is very difficult to bring back a orbiting body to inner sapce and for that case to earth atmoshpare. as You must be well aware that even solid rocks of size of about some km sqaures, while entering into earth atmoshpare start burning and what left of them is just dust and particles.
The USA wants to Destroy this satelite, so that it can avoid any harm to public from burning of posions liquid fuel, which is stored at that satelite. USA can destroy this satelite in OUTER sape, but it is bound by UN treaty not to do so.
On the other hand USA has technology to bring back space ships (like Shuttles), but that technology is new, and very costly in terms of Money as well as effective payload criteria. This technlogy was not used on this perticular satelite, simply at that time it was not there.

I am of the same opinion of your only.

My idea is that there should be auxillary system for avoiding such mishap.

You have got valuable views.

The best system is what followed by russians. they have built all their space vehicals with a self-distrcuting device, except may be "MIR Sky-lab". Which destroys the space vehicals at their re-entry. and what falls on earth is just thiny particles. You can not apply it in this particular case, as for the truth again, the American laws does not allow the sapce vehicals to be equiped with any explosive device.

Well i do not know, why the post of manish is reported as abuse.
I think rediff should provide an option to people to contest such abuse reports. Or it should put a option to write directly to admin. Alternativly post the profile of admin on the rediff site.

Dear Avi,

I would also like to touch the subject associated with this issue is space garbage which is created by the Space launch / Missions, it has also created danger to the orbiting satellites.

The anti sattelite missile or the distruction of the statelite will further increase garbage in the space creating trouble to sattelites.

India also has lost one or two sattelites, but the cause was not disclosed to public interest.

The action of the american will further increase the chances of space garbage and the velocity impact of the destroyed satellite will also damage the other sattelites. The chinese has asked the good question in this regard.

Manish

I have been waiting with a lot of interest why the other developed countries and the Permanent members of the UN Security Council are keeping mum on the danger of the US shooting the rogue satellite at space, Al last China has opened its views. The entire Globe deserves to know the technical details of the attempt and the ill effects on us. Let the Uncle Sam behave with reesponsibility and concern to the mankind.
