Here are some technical points one should know before commenting: 1. Satellites never fall on earth. 2. Satellites don't carry liquid or gas fuels, only rockets do. 3. There is no oxygen in outer space and combustion can't happen. I saw the video and there is a huge fire bowl. 4. Vehicles to carry school bus size satellites were never made. That too if the satellite is too old then there is no way a school bus size satellite ever existed. 5. Satellites don't use toxic chemicals, but they have lot of gold (excellent physical properties)

Little knowledge is dangerous. Your physics is of grade 8 level and you do not read news.
1. Satellite can fall on the earth depending upon their mass and orbit decay. Remember skylab?
2. It is a question of definition. Any body an carry whatever it wants - it depends upon the need. If the satellite needed power for maneuvering, it could have had fuel. in fact a lot of satelites have positioning rockets for final alignment - although the fuel is few kgs.
3. Hahaha, if combustion does not happen in outer space, how did rover reach Mars? Rockets carry oxidizing agents (in case of solid fuel) or liquid hydrogen to make combustion possible. Next you will say combustion is not possible below sea level as there is no available oxygen. 4. Satellite in question was launched less than a year ago. Satellites weighing 2000 kgs are routinely launched in space. Tat is approximate weight of a school bus. 5. Again, toxic chemical here in question is fuel. However, your pointv about gold is correct.

Sorry for stopping China bashing...of course, you should be sad you illiterate moron!

What nonsense! You are trying to pass junk as fact on combustion in outer space. Do some research before posting whatever comes to your mind, man! Also, try to live a life instead of seeing conspiracy in everything.

The Chinese have acquired much of their military technology through spy programs and sabotage of US technology. I have little respect for such people. The US should just ignore their request.

everyone of us should grow together.. even in this age the poor is getting poorer. Instead of thinking when we can shoot down satellites if we think how to bring up the nation to near equality then may be in another 50-60 years we can do anything we want. We should have time and money to think and not fight for daily bread, then only we can succeed.
For all those US baiters on this forum who see conspiracy in everything US does, when Chonese did it, was not it the beginning of the global arms race in outer space.
As a matter of fact Amricans are idiots if they do not prepare for the space race. It is only Indians who preach peace to the world to hide their cowardice and inability to compete.

We will loose the war if we fight with China and US but a single atom bomb of 100 times the one dropped in Japan and make both this country(US and China) paralysed for Centuries. Think of people without food and shelter and use the money for arm race for these people. Think of a better world where everyone is happy and we will never be fighting each other without reasons.

Saurav, That is a very noble thought. I would like to belive we all can live very peacefully without wars, skirmishes and terrorism.
But be realistic. This Nirvana you have been describing has never beed achieved and never can be unless there is an external threat (aliens...). We as animals have been wired to compete among ourselves. "survival of the fittest". You cannot escape mother nature's intentions...
Ì don't remember China providing any data when they shot down a satellite in space. This Chinese satellite was much further away than the American satellite.
Guys don't belive in us talk. Why they have shoot the satllite no body knows the actuall reason. They did it did it. It may be testing of new missile system or something else.
They are the super power so what they do is right. Only they belive such.
The truth never Comes In front of world that is us tendency.

One of the Reason.... The said spy satellite which was shot down today was equipped with "Nuclear War Heads".

What do you mean by "other way round"? Did the U.S. destroy the space in the satellite?

We never know ..USA might be having a lot of satellites equiepped with war heads .This might have been done during the reagon time when star missile program was in full swing.
Hi folks , people around the world are only looking at american missile that hit the satellite.Noone is looking at the satellite which was The real Bomb.Just imagine a bus size fuel with toxic gas dropping above a city .The city population will totally bedestroyed without causing any damage to infrastructure..US is a smart country ..

it was just a fuel tank buddy..not a nuclear or a biochemical bomb that could destroy a whole city.. nothing would have happened if it was fallen on a barren field..

Well it was toxic fuel .Nothing would have happened if it fell on barren land(what is it fell in populated city) .The radars will be totally usesless in tracking big pieces laden with toxic material rentering the earth atmosphere which is not going to burn .missiles can be intercepted but difficult to intercept the foreign bodies intering the earths atmosphere if they are in few pieces.
