These words show the despair of a learned man, in Dawn on the occasion of the elections - "So grim is the outlook that it is difficult to know what to write when beset with pessimism and uncertainty as to the future. What we can be certain of is that we are looking at nothing new, those old, tried and tired faces will be back with us, bolstered by brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, nephews-in-law, second cousins, mothers-in-law and bounty hunters. The old lot is highly adept at ridding the Republic of its surplus assets and no doubt the bounty hunters will soon latch on to the various known ways and means of supplementing their already hefty incomes."
The picture he paints of Pakistan post these elections is not too bright.
At the same time, these words could even reflect the situation in India too. Fortuantely, we have had development due to grit and determination of private enterprise, inspite of the hurdles of poor governance, lack of reforms, and the failure of government to cut down its wasteful expenditure.
dude India is far far better than Pakistan. Today, the world looks at India as a growth superpower, a talent warehouse of quality workforce, a market for their products and a manufacturing base.
What does the western world think of pakistan? a hideout of Bin laden, america's b1tch in its war on terror, a proliferator of nuclear technology, a begger and a black mailer in seach of international aid.
Euphoria will die out soon. The thieves are back. Mush should have a monument built for him to recognize his contribution toward cleaning up Napakistan politics.

pakis don't have brains .. so, how would they think ... and think clearly? that's like asking vajpayee to do gymnastics.
Why Musharaff did not try to fix the election outcome?
Because he thought it is easier to manipulate the parties after the election than trying to fix the election when the entire world had its attention focussed on Pakistan. He is right. He has both Zardari and Shariff by thier throats and he does not mind squeezing them very hard to get his ways. With American help offcourse!

One should not write off Musharraf. He is a crafty guy. He will know where to squeeze to get maximum yield. Already there are reports of discord over the PM's name in PPP.
How long does it take to engineer a split in the PPP and PML-N on some contentious issue, if the leaders do not toe the line of the dictator?
what can we expect from land of devils.. every one is a guilty here.. now musharaf starts showing his power and the next moment the zardari will start to show his power on mushraf.. they are well evil minded people..kill people in the name of jihadi..for which they dont know the right meaning..
