Why are you so happy Gowda,

Is India very happy under the umbrella of democracy. Look outside big cities India is same where it was 60 years ago.

And look at big cities, why mumbai can not became Dubai. Kerala has longest coastal are, why they have not developed any Mumbai there.

This all because of this democracy.

Democracy is just like our marking in school colleges where we have to fetch only 30 marks out of 100 to pass. Our politician do the same thing.

Atleast Pakistanis may be happy that there is no democracy. But what about us.

Mr Ravishankar,

I beg to differ from your statemennt. Democracy cannot be blamed for any any of the reasons given by. It can be illiteracy, unawareness but definetly not democracy. If a change has to be brought about it can be only through democracy with maybe more conscientious citizens. How many of the so called literates go for exercising their voting right? If we become aware of are responsibility, then democracy is the only 'happy' state to live in.

Mushraff Road Show not over
by Kalyan Kumar on Feb 20, 2008 11:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Very soon there will be split in PPP and ML of Sharif. So the Mushraff road show will go on until stability comes. When that comes, Army will take over. This is the trend in Pak. One chair and too many crooks eyeing it; so no, holier than thou theory holds water.

democracy takes sweet revenge
by vinod gupta on Feb 20, 2008 11:02 AM  Permalink

it is a big slap on the face of musharraf having failed in his attempt to subvert the democratic system in favour of his his pet party PML Q. it brings forth the desire of the people of the country in democratic way.let the world celebrate and hail the people power in bringing pakistan towards democracy.but all politicians should unite and work constructively for the country.politicians beware people have voted you to oust dictator musharraf who created widespread turmoil and anarchy in pakistan.benazir's assasination is proof of that.musharraf should show respect to democracy and people's desire for a change and resign.its clear from the verdict that people have rejected musharraf outright and hence should show the world that he has brought pakistan to the doorstep of democracy and hence tranferring the command to the elected prime minister.if musharraf has any self respect he should resign or else there would always friction between electe representatives and him and that could prove costly for pakistan and the country may again go to dogs and may affect fight against terrorism.
