I won't quit, says Musharraf-Is he right?
by raghupathy balakrishnan on Feb 20, 2008 11:47 AM  Permalink

Can anyone say that Nawaz Sharif, Benazir Butto or her husband Asif Zardari (to name only a few) is competent in running a government without any personal interest in it? Nawaz Sherif has business interest; Bhutto and Co has dynastic interest (on the lines of our beloved Karunanidhi's, Lalu's and Ghandhi's.
This same very people of Pakistan virutally provided a red carpet to the Military rule in the late '90s mainly. Nawaz couldnt get any support even in his exile for long. The opportunity actually being provided by the event called 'Sacking of Chief Justise' that went against the ruler. Imagine whether such an event ever happening in our country; a chief justice who ignites masses to protest against his removal. This exactly proves that he is in the making of a political person who actually takes a side, which a Judge is not expected to.
In all, Musharaf provided a clean government so far, which the people of Pakistan only long for in the future.
He may be brutal on occassions; he might be playing double game in his dealings with the US and the terrorists simultaneously. But he kept his people in mind in all his decisions which one cannot expect neither from Nawaz nor from Bhutto's.
I personally resent forgiving people just because they are no more, as it is true for every one life in the universe.

Does UPA study anything from Mushraff? That is the first question. Everybody knows, defence deal, nuclear bill, Israel spy satellite. Muslims league is sitting to 'tel maalish' to George Bush.

Musharraf may declare Emergency
by RISHI AGGARWAL on Feb 20, 2008 11:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Musharraf may declare Emergency. Now the big question is: Who killed Benazir? The persons behind those who destroyed all evidences after washing roads after the crime. It is not a small thing and must be published daily until resolved at a universal level... and pledge taken. Pl. note that people are not fool, if Musharraf has failed in election, he has no right to continue. What democracy he is talking of. He want to ontinue even after defeat. This is perhaps dictatorship...

Mr.r.agarwal - once benazir bhutto stated that if her party is elected and come in power, she will root out terrorists from pakistan. so can it possible that terrorists groups will be friendly and supporters of benazir. in pakistan mushraaf is only bad person then will is good person in pakistan.
we as indians must have observed since our independence that pakistan always behaved in cruel and enemity manner and now it is boomranging. they are suffering for their misdeeds and nothing else.

I won't quit, says Musharraf
by BadriPrasad Nagoji on Feb 20, 2008 11:41 AM  Permalink

It is correct. The election were held for National Assembly and not for presidentship. The only saving grace would be, he can continute to be president but should not derail the democratic process which has just started again. It may be different issue if both the elected parties decide to stick to their stand and give chance again to Mush or PAK military to take over.
