jyothi lobo, have you heard of the Syrian Christians of Kerala who claims to be converted Brahmins? The look at other sects of Christianity with contempt.
There is another sect called "Yacobites" again spit into two viz. Methran and Bawa who are fighting even today. Recently the police had to interfere to allow one section to even enter the Chruch! So much for the benevolence of the Christians!!!!!

Dear Venkat, Your very idea of Christ is wrong! So everything that you want to know more about Christ & Christians will obviously be not correct. You words "We are told that.....", but you have also heard that Christian preachers have preached that Jesus is alive even today, have you even once thought anything about that?. If you have started thinking about it, then you need to disprove the Christian preachers that Jesus is dead! Simple, Call Jesus & test whether he is really alive or not! And to call Jesus, You: - you neednt go to a church. - You neednt read a bible. - you neednt have any christians friend/relatives/neighbours. - you neednt even read anything about christians - you neednt have any good/bad thought about christians. - You neednt even close your eyes. - You neednt kneel down.
All you have to do is: - Just ignore what someone else(yes, even a christian) knows about Jesus. - Accept the challenge to disprove Christian claims like 'Jesus is alive'.
I challenge you, you will be answered the very day YOU SPEAK TO JESUS.

Get rid of all religious dogmas. Btw Brahmanism in ancient India was a honourable way of begging. The brahmins were never rich. It was the uppercastes and intermediate castes who exploited the poor (don't jump at me telling that I am a brahmin liar, etc - I am not a brahmin)

Why dont you have your OWN idea of Christianity( i mean "Christ" & not christians bcos not all christians are "christians" ). If Vivekananda has an opinion, thats bcos he has spent time in understanding christianity, but why are u behaving fool? Your understanding could be different! After all Satyamev Jayate. Truth Triumphs. Just Believe in God's integrity that he ll help you find the answers that YOU ACTUALLY NEED! Gandhiji said - "There is no christian except Christ". He too is a visionary, you could have learnt something from Gandhiji's words also. Unfortunately, you loved only your religion. You didnt want to know whts the relation between Hinduism & Christianity. Why are they 'religion' after all? For God's sake, try to find such answers from God alone. He is alive & speaks well & clear to any kind of human. Just forget all preachers/religions/religious books/religious places everything!. Challege Him, If you(God) really are true & living then reveal Yourself to me or avoid me from being further confused abt these religions & show me which "way" gives eternal peace. Please try, I Challenge you, you will be answered in no time!
There are different castes in christianity to name a few.. Roman Catholics,protestants..all the conversions,preaching are done by the so called protestants///plz dont generalise the religion..catholics r hardly involved in any of the above practices..many hindus,muslims dont know this.....

Education is the key to all probs... it eliminates ignorance and exploitation...but also one should not forget that... most of the parents want their children to study in a convent school(run by roman catholics) rather than a school run by a govt or some other institutions....can anyone say why so???
Evangelists preaches the people that if people come to meeting their sins will be erased and they will become happier. I had attended many meetings. In those meetings, mainly only false is spoken. I had attended meetings which says , deaf can hear, dumb can speak, handicap can walk. I saw in many meeting evangelist will bring some actors to stage and make them act as if their disease is cured due to miracle of the meeting. Every thing is cheating. Tamil friends can recollect one scene from tamil film Kadhala Kadhala , which kamalhassan used to act as lunatic in a religious meeting. As soon as actor kamal touches god man's garland, he acts as if he is cured by the miracle of that god man . If evangelist can do such things why they consult doctors for them. It is all a cheating. Only innoncent people and uneducated people are their targets.

Mr. John, you are right. I know even Benny Hinn has placed his moles among the audicence at a meeting some time back in Mumbai. All these fake god-men (irrespective of religion) arer all fooling the people.
Why did Dinakaran get admitted to Appolo Hospital if his prayer was enough to cure all illness? Btw illness is also a punishment from the God. Why the believers take the help of modern medicine? Even hunger is a curse of god. So we all should stop eating food!!!!!!!!

xtians can not explain reasons of inequality of living beings and human race.hinduism has answer to all logical and science.near vatigan there is a village called damanhur.org,where 30,000 people live all are vegitarians and love animals and birds becouse they believe both plants,birds,animals,reptiles have immortal soul as they found scienticaly that plants/trees can respond to music and re-produce music.so vatigan is not far away from damanhur to visit for xtian whose theory/concepts are falsified in this village.TIMES reported last issue''60%americans are hindus''becouse they believe in karma and re-birth.west/usa people washed away their sins already and hence believe hinduism.

We are not talking of people. We are talking of the idealogy.
According to Christianity -- only it is the true religion and all else are false prophets.
That is why they convert and denigrate and malign religions. And that is whey they had genocide and crusades. Christianity like Islam does not tolerate the non-believers and forces them to convert in the past. The goan inquisition is known as the mostg cruellest and horrendous atrocities committed by the Catholics and jesuits on native Hindus.
Hinduism and Hindu gods do not condemn anybody to eternal hell. We live and let live with 100s of different adn opposite beliefs. That is why we are the world's most pluralistic, inclusivt and tolerant nation in the world. We have no jehad, or genocide. WE accomodate all beliefs.
Please do not compare the Sanatan dharm with narrow streams of intolerant beliefs systems

This is contested. But even if it is true, that is not seen everywhere and even today Jains are richest in India.
But Christian intolerance is the rule. In Nagaland they are fighting --Nagalim for christ, not for secularism. They have least tolerance for Hindus and kill in the me to establish a Christian state.
Christian intolerance in the norm. Even today, jut google, destruction of Hindu idols in Christian Fiji and Trinidad is common

They don't realize Jesus teaches intolerance, hatred and exclusiveness. Jesus teaches all Hindus will burn in hell. Simple and straighforward. That is why they try to convert unsuspective natives and eventually destroy them and their civilization and usurp their wealth. it has happened all over Africa, America, Australia etc.
It is really funny, saying tehre is only one true god, one true religion and only one way to god. And all others will burn in hell forever.

It is true. Every Hindu prays by putting Cross when they pass through a Church. Because we know that Jesus is a God's messenger. We treat him equally with Krishna. We accept him as our god. Being a hindu I have visited Vellankanni shrine and have prayed. Hindus are broadminded and Christian Missionaries exploit it..

When you say that Christian Missionaries exploit your broadmindedness, and I gather, that it is your euphemism for conversion, what stops you from reconverting back?
Oh, I get it. Once you become a Christian, you are automatically a narrow-minded person, right?
For all my broadmindedness, I would have kicked the balls of the missionary who asked me to convert to a religion which narrowed my world vision rather than expand it. And so would you.
Still, if you did convert, it only conclusively proves that it was not your broadmindedness which did it.
Probably you saw a way out of your present misery in converting to a different religion altogether.
Or the missionaries held your life to ransom and said, "Convert or else..."
Except for a spiritual need which was conclusively satisfied by Jesus, if there was anything else that prompted your conversion, are you not free to reconvert back to whichever religion you were converted from?

Krishna gives me the same peace what Jesus gives. I pray both of them. Still I am a Hindu and will die as a Hindu. Hinduism is tolerant to all religion. But because of the pressure created by the Christian missionaries, we have started to pay them back..
Will you find any Christian telling that Krishna gives him peace as jesus gives him. Christianity is narrow minded.

All those attending the meeting do not convert. Many poor hindus are paid in cash and kind for attending the meeting. Do you know the secret of huge attendence at political rallies??? Even Benny Hinn had arranged his own moles among the audience to testify his miracles!!!!!!!!

BTW I do not support so-called evangelists like dhinakaran though I like his speeach and songs. I could not understand why hindus, who call their culture as great, resort to abusing dhinakarn on his day of death. Is it decent to do so?
