As a normal humanbeing, I believe that Democracy will bring peace in neighbouring country. But for Pak politician, those who are in power has to wear double sided knife ie Kashmir issue for keeping their followers sentiments for their own survival.
But what is happening in Maratha land. Person like Raj thackrey is adding fuel to fire. This kind of inflammatory speeches will send wrong signal to power hungry politicians. He has to be punished severly for sending right signal to masses so that nobody can take this weapon in future. If not, India will be disintegrated like erstwhile USSR in near future. We need to take TADA ACT for this kind of nuisance in public life. Why so much of Publicity for Raj.Has he done anything for betterment of people. Dont portray him in media. After all they are doing for getting publicity
Concept of democracy in Pakistan is probably a gift from India, when partition occured. But to enjoy it, you need a certain sophistication in the population. Pakistan has amply proven that it is a country in control of fanatics and obsolete mullahs. Typical Islamic country. This 'Jahiliat' will always prevent them from becoming a truely secular and balanced nation.
Today, almost all world conflicts are a result of these Islamic terrorists. The more obsolete and irrelevent their religion becomes, more is their insistance on it.
In a way, Bush has done all of us a favor by starting anti-islamic tirade.

What about terrorists in Pakistan attacking India in the name of Kashmir?? You think Pakistan is defending its sovereignty wen it comes to action over Kashmir??
I think next prime minister will be NAWAS SHERIFF. The reasons are 1). USA will not allow Muzaraf to continue. 2). PPP is a leader less party. 3). NAWAS is best friend to USA. So Muzaraf may be out of Pakistan or in US custody.

you've got it all figured out. NAWAS SHERIF will bow down to the highest bidder (he's a political leader)/ ditto for PPP & USA may just wash their hands off MUZARAF.

Whoever wins in Pakistan, it does not matter. The new Prime Minister of Pakistan will rule for few months, with army always after him. After few months, if PM wants to make any change in armi or ISI, there will be a army takeover and a new General will be the President. India is also safe if there is army rule in Pakistan, because only army in pakistan can suppress the terrorists or encourage them whatever they want. Elected PM and politicians will always need support of fundamentalists. So better for India if pakistan is ruled by a General, and Indian PM keeps a good relation with that General.

Yes. The subcontinent would be a relatively safer place with a strongman in Pakistan. the politicians, no different from the Indian ones, would bargain and horse trade with fundamental elements and destabilize the region.
