Musharaff Better?
by Krishnier Natarajan on Feb 19, 2008 09:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Though, a dmocratic victory is good for the Paki morale, my analysis shows that India is safer as long as Gen. Musharaff rules. We can handle a mellowed Musharaff. But, I feel, Nawaz is a dangerous guy.

You are wrong. In my opinion Nawaz Sharif is the person who genuinely tried to improve relations with India when Atal ji was our P.M. But that failed because of Musharraf.

Do you think Musharraf will sit in the corner watching all this?

What it will take for him to topple the new government like he did with PML before in 98.

He already got his man right on the post of army chief to execute this after one year.

Why wait for a year.Even before a month he will do it or die trying to do it & some other dictator will come to rule.

very good observation. I think same. Mush had flung nawaz far away in good times. Now mush is much more experienced and will have elaborate plans to trap nawaz (or whoever comes to power) and put him ia a zoo in an Honolulu.

Revolutionary changes are needed
by anish balakrishnan on Feb 19, 2008 09:23 AM  Permalink

Its sure that Musharraf has been shown the way out for the people of pakistan!!Now its the turn of PPP and PML-N to draw roadmaps for a vibrant new pakistan. The whole outlook of the country should change and that requires a lot of Guts and belief. This is the only chance to bring Pakistan out of the rubbles.

It is nice to hear the win of democracy in our neighbor. All people love peace. Let Pakistan come out with a new era under new government, with a new attitude and a new approach towards terrorism.
