Netaji....
by PRASANNA VEERARAGHAVAN on Feb 19, 2008 04:09 PM  Permalink

People should recall the words of Clement Attlee, the PM of Britan when India was granted independence. India's indepenence had nothing to do with the ahimsa of Gandhi. I think he repeated it thrice in various circumstances.

The Congress goebels have sadly termintated one really big leader.

Netaji and the files on him
by Nostra Damus on Feb 19, 2008 03:23 PM  Permalink

I am no ardent fan of Netaji, but the truth about his life and death should be known to every Indian. The tyrant like arguments of the Congress that they will decided what the Indian citizens (supposed to be the masters of their country)should know and not know should be destroyed once and for all. Perhaps they fear this open up a panodra's box where all the black deeds of the politicians, IAS, IFS babus and othe lower scum of the politico-beaureaucrat will exposed.

History has no partiality
by RABI KANUNGO on Feb 19, 2008 01:04 PM  Permalink

Netaji is an image to India. As many may claim, even if he is alive, he will be no more to be praised. Now even he is an icon of India. He is now the history of India and of the Freedom Struggle. History knows no partiality - no matter the name of which countries appear in the files. Indian students must know the accurate perspectives of events - Neaji, dead or alive, a matyr or traitor.

based on lies
by sanjeev on Feb 19, 2008 12:52 PM  Permalink

PMOs argument that releasing those files will affect india's sovereignty and foreign ties means what logically?? it means that our Statehood.. the concept of india.. is based on half truths and lies.. lies started by the british and further augmented by our western indoctrinated establishment.. what did soviet russia do to netaji? is that the big secret? what was the role of some of our national leaders in 1945/46? were they part of the conspiracy? otherwise why will our sovereignty be at stake coz of the truth?.. the post independence indian state was formed on a foundation of lies.. hyderabad..junagad..J&K..lies..lies and shrill jingoism! double standards, fraudulant agreements and rank immorality! as per law of karma ( which is anathema to the western indoctrinated establishment)wont they come back and haunt us? isnt that the karmic reaction behind our bleeding in kashmir, the north east and the maoist heartland ? and now hard core aryavarta folks being chased out of maharashtra!!long time the sovereign indian state!

NETAJI-ENIGMA OF DISAPPEARANCE
by arnab bhattacharya on Feb 19, 2008 12:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

NOT VERY SURPRISING AT THE FACTS OF PMO's REFUSAL/DIFFICULTY IN MAKING PUBLIC THE FILES. THE RULING PARTY NEITHER TODAY NOR AT THE TIME OF INDEPENDENCE WANTED TO GLORIFY NETAJI, AS THE ERSTWHILE CONG LEADERSHIP WAS STEADFAST TO BELITTLE AND UNDERMINE THE WORKS, ACHIEVEMENTS OF NETAJI.
THEY WERE ESSENTIALLY JEALOUS OF HIM AND IN THE BACKDROP OF SUCH A STATURE OF NATIONALISM AND PATRIOTISM THEY WERE NOTHING MORE THAN COMPROMISING STOOGES OF COLONIALISTS.THE LEADERSHIP WAS SUCCESSFUL IN DENIGRATING NETAJI AND THE EVENT OF HIS DISAPPEARANCE WAS A MORE CONVENIENT PRETEXT TO PUSH THE ISSUE INTO THE BACKSEATS INTO OBLIVION.
IT IS WORTH MENTIONING CONGRESS LEADERSHIP FOUND A NATURAL ALLY IN THE COMMUNISTS AT THAT TIME WHO BESMIRCHED NETAJI.
WHILE SACRIFICE WAS MADE BY THOUSANDS OF FREEDOM FIGHTERS AT ONE END, THE BENEFIT OF THEIR TOIL AND SACRIFICE WAS HIJACKED BY SOME OTHERS WHO WERE SO PERSONABLE AND AFFABLE TO THE OUTGOING BRITISHERS.
WAS NOT Mr.NEHRU THE MOST IMPATIENT AND DESPARATE MAN TO ASCEND THE SEAT OF POWER?NO MATTER AT WHAT COST-PARTITION, MILLIONS UPROOTED FROM THEIR HEARTH AND HOME,GREAT KILLING FIELDS .
THE FALLOUT IS EVIDENT IN OUR SOCIAL, POLITICAL LIFE TODAY-ITS STINKING /ROTTING EVERYWHERE.

Rightly said. Truth has to be revealed but in much a larger way.

Will the current India largely loomed by cheap sensationalism (most of it) take the truth to every common entity of this country?

Nethaji
by Venkatesh Sekhar on Feb 19, 2008 12:30 PM  Permalink

Who knows!! to be in power for a longer period politicians of 1940 & 1950 would have handed over Nethaji to Britishers or even put him in Jail (Those details could be in those 4 files which are hidden). You cant believe our politicians. They are capable of doing anything.

WHAT IS THE OBJECTOIN FOR PMO NOT TO SHOW THE FILES ON NETAJI?IS IT TO SHIELD THE MISDEEDS OF NEHRU TO WHOM THE NATION IS THINKING OF A BIG STATESMAN ANDARCHITEC OF MODERN INDIA.ACTUALLY THE WRONG POLICIES OF NEHRU ADAPTED TO BOOST HIS IMAGE PUTTING NATIONAL INTEREST AT STAKEARE THE REAL REASON FOR THE PLIGHTOF THE NATION.IT IS HIGH TIME PEOPLE OF INDIA SHOULD WAKE UP FROM
THE SLUMBER AND TEACH CONGRESS AND NEHRU CLAN A LESSON BY THROWING BOTH IN BAY OF BENGAL.

The congress (in its several forms and mutations) has conveniently hijacked modern Indian history (with the able support of the "intellectuals" - read commies) to appease certain vote banks. The exposing of the secrets about Netaji might expose the other (dark) side of the Gandhi-Nehru nexus which is currently (and will always be) the USP of congress. Arguably neither the congress nor the commies will never want the Gandhi-Nehru nexus to lose it's sheen because (a) The congress will be on losing side and (b) consequently the "communal" forces (as per definistion of congress and commies) will be on the gaining side.

Make it public-India is a democracy
by Kakali Chatterjee on Feb 19, 2008 12:25 PM  Permalink

If nothing wrong was done in the past then why PMO is afraid of making things public? On the other end if something was done wrong using the help of foreign countries then it is the democratic right of people of India to know it immediately and take action accordingly.
