i definitely feel pakistan is great country bcoz of the way it treat its women...polygamy(4 wives for 1 man and instant talaq for men) is definitely a great concept and must b made available in india also if we have to prosper
Elsewhere in another article on Rediff it was mentioned: "Some diplomats also fear that a hung Parliament will not bring stability to Pakistan and the Bush administration will not achieve its goals in the war against terror before the US Presidential election to be held late this year."
After having met their Waterloo every time the Americans supported dictators all around the world, they are still arrogant enough to think that they will be able to win this war on terror AND that too before the elections this year, AND with the help of another dictator who is THE main supporter of these terrorists.
The "great" powers - with their blinkered views - never learn from history. The Americans KNOW that Musharraf is supporting all these terrorists, but do not have the will to do anything about it. . . or do they believe in following the words of their President Johnson, who once said about J. Edgar Hoover, "I'd rather have him inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in". But Musharraf, the wily one, seems to the Americans to be pissing out, while he is in fact pissing inside the tent!!
Get rid of Musharraf. That's the only way, if you want to progress in the war against terrorism.

Breaking News! In the latest general elections for the pakistan parliament, the Party backed by Musharaff has won by a landslide by securing 99.01% of valid polled votes. as expected, all the candidates of Imran khan's party, Nawaz sherif's party and PPP of Benazir Butto have won only one seat each. the opposition has complained that the polls have been rigged massively by the military. they claimed that their cadres have been threatened and killed when they tried to force their way to vote. they were shocked to see that their votes have been set aside as invaid votes. but the military denied all accusations and claimed that the polls were conducted peacefully and with out any untoward incident.the US government has swallowed the results with a bucket of salt and have reposed faith in Musharaff's leadership skills and his personal ability to fight the terrorists(read AS only those against the USA)! India has expressed a meek protest with the Pakistani high commissioner by informing their view that the polls could have been conducted with a little more restraint. But the Pakistani High commissioner has made it clear that it is the fundamental right of the Pakistan government to conduct the elections in any manner as they deem it fit.
more updates to follow tomorrow since we are not able to contact the pakistani opposition leaders who are under house arrest for their own safety.

what about Rabri devi becoming the Bihar Chief Minister when LPY faced the court charges? Wasn't that a mockery too?
Pak was so far a misguided state and is trying its level best to come out of darkness and its dark days,but some within the country will not let it be so.So its people should get help from out to turn this nation into a democratic nation by all means and the antielements can be handled by the people of democratic nation.
