We oppose Hindi
by Terminator on Feb 17, 2008 01:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is no need to impose Hindi on non Hindi speakers as the national language.

Why do we need a national language in a democratic multi linguistic country?

If we need a national language then make English as the national language.

All languages like Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu are being sidelined and Hindi is being promoted. Soon our children will forget their mother tongues and will know only English and Hindi.

All non Hindi speakers should take a stand against Hindi and save their languages from extinction.

Bhayyas have made Hindi the national language after breeding like rabbits.

At this rate Mahrashtra will be without Marathi, Punjab will be without Punjabi, Bengal will be with out Bengali...

We need to take a stand now before it is too late.

Industries in the area have suffered a combined loss of up to Rs.4 billion (approx $100 million) in the past fortnight of violence.

The immediate fallout could be a steep increase in the cost of labour, which in turn would lead to a hike - almost double in some cases - in the prices of goods manufactured in the industrial belt.

"The prices of steel products, electrical equipment and automobile parts are expected to nearly double in the coming weeks. The situation is a direct fallout of the non-availability of cheap, unskilled labour," Nashik Industrial Manufacturers' Association (NIMA) chairperson Abhay Kulkarni told IANS.

According to NIMA's estimates, nearly 30,000 labourers have left the industrial belt in the past two weeks of unrest sparked by the Raj Thackeray-led MNS. Many taxi drivers and street vendors were assaulted in Mumbai and a man in Nashik lost his life in the violence.

Apprehending more violence, the migrant workers have gone back to their homes in Bihar or Uttar Pradesh

Save others culture too
by seraj khan on Feb 17, 2008 01:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

One can't understand the mental condition of this fellow called Raj.In Maharashtra he ia all against people who are from North or any other part of the country by alleging that they are not following Marathi culture.Whereas he is supporing Mayawati for taking Maratha pride to UP.
Where is his stand? If he is so sensitive towards his culture and Maharashtrians then he should not let it go out of the Maharashtra boundaries. Will he stop people from speaking Marathi in other states or in other country?
Dear Raj make your culture and people so strong that they survive everywhere and in every circumastances. The time has changed, remember that beautiful song Panchi, Nadiya, Pawan ke jhoke koi sarhad na inhe roke (there are no boundary for birds, rivers and air then why boundaries for human.)

Make Shift India !!
by joshi george on Feb 17, 2008 01:04 PM  Permalink

India's total population is 1.136 billion. Hindi speaking against the rest? Well then the rest is the majority. Good point, this is why it is time to make changes and shifts. From the control of the country, national language to the capital, it is time to make shift to the the rest. It is just not the bulling hindi speaking that makes India. High time for you people to realize that as well.

he is trying to divide India and Indians.

this ugly creature has no moral values. It seems that he was born in a street.
animals are more clean and beautifull than this ugly incapable animal. he hates the north indians to use this issue for his political benefits.
I appeal to all north Indians to take him to UP and Bihar and give her full enj@yment.
