I am a north indian and staying in Mumbai for now 6 years and I think I do agree with some aspects of Raj Thakre. What is the need to celebrate 'Uttar Bhartiya Divas" in Mumbai... they do not even celebrate in even in UP. Instead of wasting the energy in Maharashtra these UP and Bihari ploiticians can do something better for their state. Especially Amar Singh gud for nothing fellow, only attends films premier.
Anyway I would like, likes of mayawati , amar singh,mulayam and others making their way in mumabi. They will divide the city on caste basis and will make it same like their home states
What the Thakeray 'Raj' is doing in Maharashtra (to the "minority" North Indians),is a mirror of what the RSS is doing at the macro level to the rest of the minorities. We must realise that our first and foremost identity is that we are HUMAN BEINGS and all the rest follows suit. Only then will peace prevail be among the Marathi 'manse' or among Indians or among the citizens of the world! That will be the biggest 'vijay' for us humans. What say Tarun?

Every indian should first learn to respect indian culture and traditions which has been followed by their /our ancestors. Just because few centuries back one has changed the status due to whatever reason, need not criticize the very culture and tradition that was followed by their ancestors. Every system has flaws, should try to remove the flaws by being in it should move out of it and criticize it. First learn to faithful to land then be faithful to rest.
Congratulations Tarun for a nicely composed and well articulated article. All Indians feel the same, and I beleive most Marathi's too. Let us not allow a bunch of jokers hijack this great country and state for shameless political motives. They should be charged with treason, who so ever they may be, wherever they may be.
