What is this India ANYWAY?
by JaiHanumaan on Feb 16, 2008 10:11 AM  Permalink

What is this india any way we are talking about?
Is it gandhis inida?
Is it british India?
Is it Muslim India?

What is the vision of this so called India?
Is it the constitution ..
To like USA ..

What does it mean to be an Indian..
I this we have lost it as Indians ..
We are becomeming more a& more materialistic
and adopting Western Values.

We have lost touch from our ancient heritage
..It is so SAD, we should be ashamed of this so called modernity we could have done it without destroying the fabric of society.. but we all behaving like dos in the name of progress hankerin after american money , jobs, visas, investments and so caleed globalization , this is why indian is meaning to be less and less..
it has lost its meaning.

Even a so called open counrty like USA, restricts people from migration by putting slab in H1. Even they are worried about local people. Why not we Marathi should be worried?

Haan Nikhil, tu samajh raha hai tu kya bol raha hai? H1B non-citizens ke liye hai, Indians ko hak hai kahi bhi rehne ka India me, Bombay, marathiyo se nahi, outsiders se bana hai, Marathio ki kya aukat ko mumbai bana lete akele, Gujarati, UP, Bihar, south Indian aur sari Indian states se akar log base Mumbai me. Tujhe samajh aa raha hai tu kya likh raha hai? Indians ko India me kaam karne ke liye H1B chahiye?, Think, dont talk like fools!!
Aur Americans are much better than Indians(marathis), kam se kam woh bahar se ane wale logo ki to izzat karte hai, tum(marathi) to apne Indians ki izzat nahi karte ho!! Army me bata kitne marathi hai? maximum people in army are from North India, Agriculture is maximum in North and South India (Maharashtra me nahi), collectively dekh kiska kitna contribution hai. Yeh jo Mumbai menace hai, Yeh national problem hai(being overcrowded). Government has to work to create jobs all over India by divesifying the spread of companies all over nation, so that cities like Mumbai are not over-crowded. Apna Bollywood bhi poora North Indians se bhara hai, bata kitne Marathi hai? To samajh aa raha hai , Kiska kitna contribution hai? Tum marathi yeh topic utha kar sirf India aur Mumbai(maharashtra) ka hi nuksan kar rahe ho aur kuchh nahi

Dear Nikhil, H1B is different as it deals with peoples from other country. Where as in USA any body from NY can stay independently in LA or SFO. But in India things are different. Here it more of region based than country based.

Are people like Amar and Mayawati not responsible for this?
Why no one is blaming these people in atead of blaiming Marathi people?

Ppl like Amar are also responsible, but reason for blaming is because of non-sense violence which caused death of two person, incidentally, one was Marathi only. who is responsible? I never heard that in Bihar/UP/MH some Bihari/UP opposed Ganesh Puja, which also depicts same strength show!!

Is Maharashtra a sovereign, independent country like the US of A ? Does the US put a bar on people belonging to one of its states entering the other one, seeking an employment there or settling there ? Such a stupid argument weakens your case and makes it important for your own community to discard you,not becuase of your regionalism but because of your lack of intelligence on display :-)..surely maharashtrians would not like one amongst them to be perceived as a pure,24 carats idiot who is hellbent on bringing a bad name to their community & state :-)

But, also sharing the natural resources, Investment in maharashtra, sharing the food grains and vegetables and also every doctor, lawyer and business person should leave mumbai. by Rohit ezhuthachan on Feb 16, 2008 10:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You are giving details about your birth. Why these Bhaiyas and Biharis are being shunted out of their nearby capital Delhi? Now from Patiala? Tomorrow from Kolkata. Assam already started. Kashmir is out-of-bounds to them. It is not because of any particular religion or creed. They live in filthy conditions, make the surrounding filthy, do not bother about the cleanliness of the neighburhood, the door nearby, stack unwanted things outside their homes inconveniencing others. Don't you and me hate such persons? If Mulayam and his sweeper Amar or bahenji are so much interested in them, let them make Lucknow,Kanpur and Agra like Mumbai. And about Lalu. The less said the better. He made Bhiar a dangerous and filthy state and now preaching and threatening about Chhat Pooja! Just give these things a portion of your thought.

Rohit, there are problems no doubt. They still do not justify throwing out the UP and Bihar people from any place,Maharashtra included. The same argument extends to Muslims also who, largely, have a poor standard of living, inadequate education and high unemployment rates coupled with dangerous communal tendencies. But they have every right to live in this country which belongs as much to them as us.What is needed is spread of education and a systematic upliftment of poor people.Surely, you would not be having anything against well-educated,civilised and decent people whether they belong to UP or Bihar or any other state.I can understand your frustation seeing the lawlessness and anarchy around you but the route taken by raj Thakrey is neither a solution, nor a long-term settlement of this issue.

Mr. Tarun Vijay, I am a big fan of you.
But I disagree with your article this time.
If being Indian is enough, what does it mean by a slogan by BSP? "Uttar Pradesh to Jhanki hai, Maharashtra baki hai".
Also, why the UP and Bihar people do not get gelled in local culture even after living here for 4-5 generations?
Some of my collegues are from UP and Bihar and I have always seen them making fun of Marathi traditions?
Why?

Do not Maharashtrians settled permanently in other states celebrate Ganesh Festival with the same pomp as any one does in Maharashtra? Does a Maharashtrian settled in Jaipur or Jodhpur observe Kadva Chauth? Does one settled in South India observe Pongal? or in Kerala the Onam or Vishu? Stop this kind of stupid thinking, Nikhil!

Yes. Mumbai has welcomed many generations of outsiders with open hands. Now a time has come for these outsiders to give it back. It is not Maharashtrians who has made Mumbai what it is today. There are very few Maharashtrain owned companies in Mumbai/Maharashtra , but there more non Maharashtraian owned companies in Mumbai. Have Rajji got the guts to say Gujjus to go away with your establishments and money. Then he will be playing cricket with his 50 goodas(As Pawarji told)One Bhaiya comes..he brings his wife follows. Since Mr. Uddhav was invited there, Raj felt insulted and therefore started this whole issue. Otherwise nobody was talking about such nonsense issues.
